🎓 Honored as Generation Godfather / Orgulloso de Ser Padrino de Generación 🌟🙌

ENGLISH 🇬🇧 Today I want to share something that fills me with pride and happiness. My students — who are now about to graduate from high school — chose me as their generation godfather.

To be honest, this is more than just a title. It’s a recognition of the bond we’ve built: the lessons shared, the challenges faced, the laughter in between equations and projects, and the trust that goes beyond the classroom. 📚 Teaching has always been more than transmitting knowledge — it’s about walking together, guiding, and learning from each other.

Seeing them prepare to leave high school, I feel both joy and nostalgia. 🧑‍🎓 Joy, because they’re ready for the next chapter of their lives. 📖 Nostalgia, because every generation leaves behind memories that stay with me as a teacher and as a person.

As a scientist, I know that growth is about processes, variables, and outcomes. But as an educator, I know it’s about people, dreams, and futures. And being chosen as their padrino means I’ve been part of their story — and they will always be part of mine.

ESPAÑOL 🇪🇸 Hoy quiero compartir algo que me llena de orgullo y felicidad. Mis estudiantes — que ahora están por graduarse de la preparatoria — me eligieron como su padrino de generación.

Sinceramente, esto es más que un título. Es un reconocimiento al lazo que construimos: las clases compartidas, los retos superados, las risas entre ecuaciones y proyectos, y la confianza que trasciende el aula. 📚 Enseñar siempre ha sido más que transmitir conocimiento — es caminar juntos, guiar y también aprender de ellos.

Al verlos listos para salir de la preparatoria, siento alegría y también algo de nostalgia. 🧑‍🎓 Alegría, porque están preparados para el siguiente capítulo de sus vidas. 📖 Nostalgia, porque cada generación deja recuerdos que permanecen en mí como maestro y como persona.

Como científico, sé que crecer es un proceso de variables y resultados. Pero como educador, sé que crecer es cuestión de personas, de sueños y de futuros. Y ser elegido como su padrino significa que fui parte de su historia — y que ellos siempre serán parte de la mía.
