I have always loved the Zebra as a kid I always imagined it as a beautiful painting not a real animal till I saw them for the first time close up roaming around in these big open plains free to roam around in such a graceful movement and easily recognized with there black and white stripes and did you know that every Zebra has a different marking of stripes unique like human fingerprints.
They are very sociable creatures they live in herds grazing together in these wide open plains and believe it or not they belong to the horse family well what would give you that idea and like horses mainly feed on grass but will also feed on bark, shrubs and leaves if need so.

The equipment used was all Nikon. Early shots with a D70, later shots with 2 x D3 bodies.
