Blackmoor wild elf || Splinterlands art

Los personajes mágicos del juego de cartas en línea #splinterlands tienen algo que los hace únicos, mas aún si son habitantes del bosque. Ya que los bosques están lleno de vida, desde los pequeños seres como los microorganismos hasta los enormes macroorganismos. Además de las interacciones que existen entre ellos. Elegí este personaje del tipo tierra, por el contraste de colores entre fríos y cálidos que presenta. Entre ellos tenemos tonalidades de verdes y azulados y los tonos terracota (amarillo, rojo, guinda, marrón). Comencé bocetando a lápiz, luego lo pasé con tinta negra. En un inicio solo quise utilizar la tinta, hacerles sombreados y dejarlo en blanco y negro. Luego, me animé por ponerle colores. El color piel es variable y por lo general es la parte que me lleva más tiempo cuando dibujo a personas. >*I started sketching in pencil, then I passed it with black ink. At first I only wanted to use ink, make shading and leave it in black and white. Then, I decided to add colors. The skin color is variable and it is usually the part that takes me the longest when I draw people.*  Luego de una capa ligera de color, pinté con plumones las partes donde irían las sombras. Seguí con los colores terracota, esta vez le tocó a la armadura. En esta parte, los plumones me ayudaron bastante, porque los colores tenían muy poca pigmentación. >*After a light coat of color, I painted with markers the parts where the shadows would go. I continued with the terracotta colors, this time it was the armor's turn. In this part, the markers helped me a lot, because the colors had very little pigmentation.*  Siento que el cabello azulado que lleva este Blackmoor, resalta su personalidad. Justo esta parte se me hizo más divertida, porque me permitió jugar con las sombras para formar el volumen del cabello. Ahora que veo esta foto, veo que olvidé pintar parte de la trenza. Es curioso, cuando dibujo personajes, por lo general me encanta ver los peinados, volúmenes, formas y colores de los cabellos que llevan. Todos son distintos y únicos. >*I feel that the bluish hair that this Blackmoor is wearing brings out his personality. Just this part made it more fun for me, because it allowed me to play with the shadows to form the volume of the hair. Now that I look at this picture, I see that I forgot to paint part of the braid. It's funny, when I draw characters, I usually love to see the hairstyles, volumes, shapes and colors of the hair they wear. They are all different and unique.*  Continué pintando el cabello con una capa de color plomo, encima le agregué otra capa de plomo, aunque esta vez hecha con plumones. Elegí usar primero los colores y luego los plumones porque de esa manera le bajo la intensidad a los plumones. Además, porque si invierto el orden no se nota la pigmentación de los colores y al momento de hacer más presión puedo dañar el papel. >*I continued painting the hair with a layer of lead color, on top of which I added another layer of lead, although this time made with markers. I chose to use the colors first and then the pens because that way I lower the intensity of the pens. Also, if I reverse the order, the pigmentation of the colors is not noticeable and when I apply more pressure I can damage the paper.*  Llegó el momento de ponerle tonos de verdes...sí. Aquí también le coloqué sombras de colores verde claro y verde Jade. En esta parte siento que el personaje va cobrando vida (o algo así). El color verde hace que resalte la armadura rojiza por ser colores complementarios y juntos dan vida al personaje. >*It was time to add shades of green...yes. Here I also added shades of light green and Jade green. In this part I feel that the character is coming to life (or something like that). The green color makes the reddish armor stand out because they are complementary colors and together they give life to the character.*  Por último su cetro, como elemento clásico de los personajes del tipo magia. De ella es rosado, morado y celeste. Algunos detalles extra son los tatuajes o marcas que lleva en todo su cuerpo. Además, le agregué un fondo abstracto de colores verde fosforescente y amarillo. De esa manera no el personaje principal no pierde el protagonismo, mas bien lo resalta. >*finally her magic wand, as a classic element of the characters of the magic type. It is pink, purple and light blue. Some extra details are the tattoos or marks she has all over her body. In addition, I added an abstract background of phosphorescent green and yellow colors. That way the main character doesn't lose the protagonism, but rather highlights it.*  Esta vez quise plasmar a la niña Blackmoor wild elf alegre, divertida y sonriente, llegando a su pueblo luego de días de campamentos en lo más alejado del bosque. Me alegra ver el resultado final, mas aún porque salió mejor de lo planeado. Siento que el contraste de los colores fue de mucha ayuda. Al inicio, no sabía qué posición ponerle o en qué contexto estaría. Luego, fueron llegando más y más ideas hasta obtener este resultado. Si bien quise agregarle sombras con tinta, no lo hice porque sentía que se iba a saturar el dibujo y creo que tengo un estilo tipo minimalista, jaja. Un dato curioso es que mi amiga Jessi me enseñó a probar el color de los materiales en la misma hoja o en una hoja aparte pero con la misma textura, para ver su pigmentación. Eso lo pongo en práctica cada que dibujo y se nota en las dos últimas fotos. También aplica a otros materiales como: temperas, acrílicos, acuarelas, entre otros. >*This time I wanted to capture the happy, fun and smiling Blackmoor wild elf girl, arriving to her village after days of camping in the farthest part of the forest.* >*I'm happy to see the final result, even more so because it came out better than planned. I feel that the contrast of the colors was very helpful. At the beginning, I didn't know what position to put it in or what context it would be in. Then, more and more ideas came to me until I got this result. Although I wanted to add shadows with ink, I didn't do it because I felt it would saturate the drawing and I think I have a minimalist style, jaja.* >*A curious aspect is that my friend Jessi demonstrated to me how to test the color of the materials on the same sheet or on a separate sheet but with the same texture, to see their pigmentation. I put this into practice every time I draw and you can see it in the last two photos. It also applies to other materials such as: tempera, acrylics, watercolors, among others.*
