Meriput Slinger || Splinterlands_art

Cuando miré esta ratita, me causó curiosidad el estilo del artista. No cabe duda que es uno de esos personajes guerreros, quienes defienden su territorio y a los suyos. A veces me pregunto, qué personaje dibujar...y recuerdo todas las cartas, las cuales ví. Ya sea que me enfrenté a ellos o que tengo. Incluso aquellos personajes que solo los veo en la tienda de cartas, jaja. Lo cierto es que entre mis favoritos está **Meriput Slinger**. Este personaje tiene algo que me causó curiosidad, creo que es la paleta de colores utilizados por del artista. Además, de la acción que realiza, es decir la perspectiva del personaje. >*When I looked at this little mouse, I was curious about the artist's style. There is no doubt that it is one of those warrior characters who defend their territory and their own.* >*Sometimes I wonder which character to draw... and I remember all the cards I've seen. Whether I've faced them or own them. Even those characters I only see in the card shop, jaja. The truth is that one of my favorites is Meriput Slinger. There's something about this character that caused me to be curious, I think it's the color palette used by the artist. Also, the action they perform, that is, the perspective of the character.* --------------- ----------------- ### Meriput Slinger ###  Fuente: [Splinterlads](https://splinterlands.com/) -------------- --------------   Una vez elegido el personaje, separé una hoja, lápiz y borrador para comenzar a hacer el boceto. Esta vez quise darle más movimiento (en sí me gustan los personajes en movimiento, porque creo que cuentan historias) y lo dibujé como si además de apuntar con su honda estuviese dando una patada voladora, jaja. Una vez conforme con el boceto, lo pasé con tinta negra para luego pintarlo. >*Once I had chosen the character, I took a sheet of paper, a pencil, and an eraser to begin sketching. This time I wanted to give it more movement (I like characters in motion because I think they tell stories) and I drew it as if, in addition to aiming with his slingshot, he was also doing a flying kick, jaja. Once I was satisfied with the design, I traced it with black ink and then painted it.*  Llegó la hora de darle color al personaje. Al inicio quise pintarlos solo con lápices de colores para ver su pigmentación, pero no funcionó en la hoja que utilicé. Por eso, decidí combinarlo con plumones, para que sea más notorio. Pinté su capucha de color rojo oscuro, seguido de su armadura. Los ojitos fue lo que llamó mi atención y quise que quedasen chévres. >*It was time to add color to the character. At first, I wanted to paint them only with colored pencils to see their pigmentation, but it didn't work on the paper I used. So, I decided to combine them with markers to make them more visible. I painted his hood dark red, followed by his armor. His little eyes caught my attention, and I wanted them to look cool.*  La honda es la principal arma de este personaje, por eso lo pinté de una vez para no olvidarme. Mas bien, es extraño ver una rata con guantes. Eso también me dió curiosidad y todavía con su hebilla para ajustar a la medida de sus manitas. La destreza de este animal es notoria. >*The slingshot is this character's main weapon, so I painted it right away so I wouldn't forget. Actually, it's strange to see a rat wearing gloves. That also made me curious, and it still has its buckle to adjust it to the size of its little hands. The dexterity of this animal is evident.*  Como dije antes, esta combinación de colores del personaje está de lujo. La camisa celeste resalta bastante, definiendo la acción del personaje. La colita, ni que decir. Cierto, le hice una cola grando porque aquí las ratas de las casas y de los campos llegan a ser enormes y de todos los colores. Utilicé el color plomo de manera suave, para que se notase el rostro. Aquí detallé más los ojitos, como sus pestañas y cejas. Además, le coloqué los bigotes gatunos. >*As I said before, this character's color combination is really cool. The light blue shirt stands out quite a bit, defining the character's action. The little tail, needless to say. True, I made it a big tail because here the rats in houses and fields can be enormous and come in all colors. I used a soft lead color so that the face would stand out. Here I added more detail to the eyes, such as eyelashes and eyebrows. I also gave it cat-like big whiskers.*  Antes de terminar, le agregué un color no usado como el color verde para resaltar al personaje. Dando un contraste y formando un fondo a la vez. Quise agregarle más detalles en el fondo, pero creí que opacaría al personaje y lo dejé así. Me encantó el resultado, no pensé que quedaría así. Es como una ratoncito aprendíz, veloz y curioso. Mas aún, si maneja un instrumento como la honda o *waraqa* como le decimos aquí. En los Andes, la gente lo sigue utilizando. Ya sea para espantar o cazar a las aves o para pastorear a las ovejas u otro animal de granja. A veces me pongo a pensar en el rol de los animalitos y justo plataformas como *Splinterlands*, nos muestran de la capacidad que tienen para ser una pieza fundamental en su manada o familia. Parece algo loco, pero cada animalito tiene una función en la naturaleza. Es solo cuestión de observar su comportamiento y darnos cuenta de las múltiples capacidades en su entorno… Quizá no usen esas ropas ni sean tan coloridos como *Meriput*. Pero eso no quita sus habilidades, por algo están adaptados a esta época. Para mí los seres vivos (en este caso los animalitos), son nuestros amigüitos quienes nos acompañan en este mundo llamado vida. Y merecen todo nuestro respeto y amor, desde los seres microscópicos, los insectos hasta los elefantes, animales voladores y marinos. >*Before finishing, I added an unused color such as green to highlight the character. This provided contrast and formed a background at the same time. I wanted to add more details to the background, but I thought it would overshadow the character, so I left it as it was.* >*I loved the result; I didn't think it would turn out like that. It's like a little apprentice mouse, quick and curious. Even more so if it wields an instrument like a slingshot or *waraqa*, as we call it here. In the Andes, people still use it, whether to scare away or hunt birds, or to herd sheep or other farm animals.* >*Sometimes I think about the role of animals, and platforms like Splinterlands show us how they can be a fundamental part of their herd or family. It seems crazy, but every animal has a role in nature. It's just a matter of observing their behavior and realizing their many abilities in their environment...They may not wear those clothes or be as colorful as Meriput. But that doesn't take away from their abilities; there's a reason they're adapted to this era. For me, living beings (in this case, animals) are our little friends who accompany us in this world called life. And they deserve all our respect and love, from microscopic beings and insects to elephants, flying animals, and marine animals.*
