Hello hivers, I’m sharing this creative story as my entry for this week creative Sunday.
It all started few days ago when I unlocked my favorite game character while playing, it got me really excited because of the special abilities she brings Into the game so I decided to capture that moment in art.
Couple hours later as I kept on playing she upgraded by collecting fishes and became a 2 star general! and that was the exact milestone moment I captured.
I used a pen, but first made the pencil sketch with good enough proportioning before shading out the sketch. I outlined the crown first so I could get a layout or template to tone the other parts of the sketch properly at some point i even got frustrated especially while working on the face, it was so hard to depict that very feint shade with a biro ink and when using biro for a longer time the point tends to spread or expand causing it to release more ink than the regular at that moment I contemplated between staying on track or compromising by featuring pencil to the mix and then create the light shades in about 5 seconds and blend them in with a soft tissue paper or cotton bud. After about 5 minutes of laziness and contemplating I decided to use the pen by just risking it, at the end i was delighted i made that push.
I didn’t want her to remain only a sketch so I decided to edit 2 snaps on Snapseed to give it that NFT digital shine, it was a wonderful moment and I enjoyed every single bit of the process. I really like how creativity has no bounds bringing so many worlds that are far apart into a single piece with just a bare pen, the mind and a platform like hive learners.
