In every society, cacus or phase of life there’s clearly a ranking system which is always unspoken about. Now we’re not talking about the secret millionaires on forbes list but the suprising arrangement of hierarchy for the losers, opening your eyes to every tiny detail lets you see this.
at the base are the daily losers, those who miss the bus spill coffee on themselves or send a text to the wrong person. No matter how grievous or minute the loss could be it still has a place in the hierarchy of losses so that determines a person’s position in the hierarchy of losers and its a constant little reminder that everything in life doesn’t go as we always plan or anticipate.
There’s a level above the base losers and they are the financial strugglers, the ones who work hard but are always broke no matter how much they earn they are the kings and queens when it comes to ending of the month survival game. They could be living on instant noodles while pretending everything is fine, in the hierarchy thats a loss but doesnt put them on top or bottom of the list.
climbing further on the ladder of losers hierarchy you meet the social media losers, those are the ones chasing likes followers and relevance, they post selfies that get ignored or dance challenges that nobody watches for them every view count feels like a public scoreboard of their self worth
After that we find those who’re the career failures, the ones stuck in jobs they hate or fired from jobs they loved they wear ties and carry laptops but inside they know they are losing a race they never really wanted to run
Now, at the very top of the hierarchy are the broken the ones with all the money and fame or influence but no peace of mind they sit in mansions scroll through luxury feeds and still feel empty because they have lost battles that money cannot win. so from broke to broken the hierarchy of losers is real but here is the irony everyone belongs somewhere on that ladder and at some point life ensures we all take turns losing maybe that is what makes us equal maybe loss is the one thing we all truly share.
