Hello Hive Open Mic community, it’s @wealthwess here, and I’m thrilled to be back with you all for week 285. This week’s theme, Cats Song, as chosen by our spotlight artist, inspired me to perform a cover of Stuck on Stupid by Chris Brown.
I chose Stuck on Stupid because it beautifully reflects the feeling of being captivated, much like how cats can completely mesmerize us with their mysterious, graceful, and unpredictable nature. The song speaks about being unable to move on from someone, which to me mirrors how cats leave a lasting impression on our hearts with their charm and independence.
Chris Brown’s smooth vocals and the soulful melody in Stuck on Stupid create a vibe that’s both tender and magnetic, echoing the quiet yet powerful pull that cats have. It’s a track full of emotion and vulnerability, and I felt it connects perfectly with this week’s theme.
