Servus miteinander!
In den letzten Tagen gab es einen starken Wintereinbruch in unseren Breitengraden und die Landschaft erstrahlte plötzlich in einem prächtigen Weiß. Ich nutzte einen sonnigen Nachmittag, um die erste kleine Skitour der heurigen Saison zu starten. Meine Tour führte mich auf den Arlingsattel in der Pyhrn-Priel-Region in Oberösterreich.

Over the last few days, there has been a strong onset of winter in our latitudes and the landscape suddenly shone in a glorious white. I took advantage of a sunny afternoon to set off on the first short ski tour of this season. My tour took me to the Arlingsattel in the Pyhrn-Priel region in Upper Austria.
Obwohl es am Vormittag noch stark schneite und dichter Nebel in den Bergen war, lichteten sich am Nachmittag plötzlich die dichten Wolken und die Sonne sorgte für eine tolle Stimmung in den weißen Bergen. Am Skitourengehen fasziniert mich die frische Bergluft, die traumhafte Landschaft, die sportliche Aktivität in der Natur und vor allem die unendlich fühlende Freiheit in der freien Landschaft. Ich hatte riesen Spaß bei meiner ersten Skitour des heurigen Winters und fand bessere Bedingungen vor als ich mir zunächst vorgestellt hatte.
Although it was still snowing heavily in the morning and there was thick fog in the mountains, the dense clouds suddenly lifted in the afternoon and the sun created a great atmosphere in the white mountains. What fascinates me about ski touring is the fresh mountain air, the fantastic landscape, the sporting activity in nature and, above all, the endless feeling of freedom in the open countryside. I had great fun on my first ski tour of this winter and found better conditions than I had initially imagined.
Nach gut 500 Höhenmetern war ich am sogenannten Arlingsattel angekommen. Ich genoss die Aussicht, machte einige Fotos, fellte meine Ski ab und dann powderte ich wieder zurück zu meinem Ausgangspunkt. Selten zuvor hatte ich zu Saisonbeginn so gute Konditionen vorgefunden. Der feine Pulverschnee ließ mein Skifahrerherz höher schlagen. So wie es aussieht, kommt in den nächsten Tagen noch eine geballte Ladung Neuschnee hinzu, weshalb ich schon am Planen der nächsten Touren bin.
After a good 500 meters in altitude, I arrived at the so-called Arlingsattel. I enjoyed the view, took some photos, skinned my skis and then powdered back to my starting point. Rarely before had I found such good conditions at the start of the season. The fine powder snow made my skier's heart beat faster. It looks like there will be a lot more fresh snow in the next few days, which is why I'm already planning my next tours.
