I earned a good amount of money, took a tattoo course, and started tattooing at Dinho's studio, a local tattoo artist in the area.
We pooled our ideas and money and set up a tattoo studio in Parque União Complexo da Mare, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro. The studio was really cool, beautiful, with a really cool graffiti design that we did with three barber chairs, a bathroom, and the studio area in the back.
Out of nowhere! The news: SLS in Rio, let's go!
I had spent all my money on the studio, but I couldn't miss the first SLS in Brazil, especially in my area!
I'm from the local scene, raised in the North Zone of all parts of the world. I'm into skateboarding, and I thought so.
The city was bustling as always. I grabbed my skateboard and headed to the West Zone, where the SLS was taking place and there was an autograph session at the Shopping da Barra
When I got there, I ran into a skate buddy, Buchecha. You might know him as Felipe Gustavo. The friend asked me if I was going to enter the event. I told him I didn't have any money; the SLS entry was too expensive. "No way, bro, you're going!" He gave me three wristbands: two for the finalists and one for the finalists. I was so happy! He made me feel good.
