Hello family, I trust our day has been great. Hmmm, so my five-day raw food challenge officially started today, and believe me, temptation is everywhere in this house.
I woke up fully conscious of the challenge because I had been both anxious and excited about how it would go.
For breakfast, I had avocado pear with sliced tomatoes and onions, spiced with powdered pepper and a sprinkle of salt. Avocado is one of my favorites, and on a normal day that pear salad would have been perfect with a few slices of bread. But since bread is not allowed on this challenge, I simply enjoyed it as it was—and sincerely, I loved it. I paired it with guava, two bananas, and a bottle of water.
About an hour later, while working, the aroma from the kitchen hit me, and I caught myself salivating, almost expecting to eat cooked food. But immediately, I reminded myself of the challenge—no cooked food allowed.
For lunch, I had bananas, cashew nuts, groundnuts, and sesame seeds. For dinner, it was a vegetable salad with some fruits salad.
And so, day one is a success ✅.
It’s not as easy as I thought, though, because the cravings come quickly, especially with food aromas floating everywhere. But I’m determined—four more days to go!
