Good day creatives, it's my first post here @diyhub and am supper excited to share what I created.

I have always been a lover and supporter of creatives, but for the longest time I never thought I could create something myself.

But am glad I started trying out birthing my imaginations and being innovative instead of admiring it alone in my head. LOL

In this post I'll be sharing a simple seven step of how I made this lovely piece of wall art. This particular one is my fourth attempt to create the wall art and I am happy am better at it now.

If you are excited as I am, let's slide right in to our tutorial. So first let me give a list of the items I used.

A rectangular shaped mirror Eight and six inches of kebab sticks A hard cardboard Gum/glue Beads

Step 1 Cut out a rectangular shape of your mirror on the hard cardboard. You can do this by placing the mirror on the cardboard and tracing the shape with a pen and then cut with Sciccors.

Step 2 Set aside your mirror in a safe place after using it to cut the shape on the cardboard. Then to get accuracy and same length in the arrangement of our kebab sticks on the cardboard, you measure one inch inwards at the two longer sides of your rectangle shaped cardboard. Use a measuring tape to achieve that and then draw a straight line to make your measurement visible. Note that the measurement also gives you a visible area to apply your glue.

Step 3 Apply glue on the marked area, that is the one inch measurement on the rectangle shaped cardboard. So here you can use a glue gun, but I don't have that so I used the local ephostic glue. I poured it out in a small bowl and applied using an old toothbrush. So apply your glue generously because it is the glue that would hold down the kebab sticks to be arranged on the cardboard.

Step 4 After the application of glue on the marked area on your rectangle shaped cardboard, you start to carefully arrange your kebab sticks in the right order. So for this particular wall art, I used the 8 and 6 inches kebab sticks and the arrangement is one 8 inches and the next a 6 inch in that order. However you can get creative by changing the order of your arrangements to get an exciting new look. Note that the pointed part of the kebab sticks is the side I arranged inwards. Also remember that for this art, arrangement of stick are on both long sides of your rectangle shaped cardboard.

Step 5 Here you get your mirror from where you safely kept it , then apply glue generously to the back of the mirror, and do same on your cardboard that now has the kebab sticks beautifully arranged on it. The reason is you will be guming both surfaces together for your mirror to stay on your already made cardboard. You have to be careful to align the edges of your mirror on the cardboard so it seat properly to fit perfectly.

Step 6 Then you embellish with beads of your choice, but here I used some beads and other embellishments like blink stones. You can get them from a tailoring shop. So you fix your embellishments with glue as well. You can equally use a glue gun but I used my brown glue, and when using that you have to be careful so it doesn't stain your wall art. So if you using the brown ephostic glue like I did, for this stage instead of using a toothbrush or a brush, you can use a cotton bud because it's much smaller and fits perfectly for the application of the gum for those areas where you want to embellish.

Step 7 The final part is fixing a small hanger at the back of your wall art so you can hang it on the wall. So here get a firm rope about four inches long, but I used a rolled firm piece of jeans. So you find the center of your art at the back apply glue to both the surface and on the rope, and then fix the rope on the surface with the help of the glue. Then cover nicely with a small piece of cardboard. And voilaa your wall art is ready to be hanged.

So you can hang it at your passage and use the mirror for a final look on your way out. How cool. Thank you for passing by here to have a read Let me know if you would be trying this at home some time soon.
