They say, somewhere in college, there would be moments that are not about academics or lessons, but about finding the right group of friends. It is true, and as wasting as it sounds, this unpleasant search is eventually a way to find the right places you would share all of your college stories—frustrations, academic pressure, and even heartbreaks.

I would say it is like a heart, metaphorically, a door and a window, that we should open and welcome those who pass by. Even the ones who have found the right ones aren’t sure if they really found one, so leaving a "welcome" sign on your door would do, and on random days, someone would ring the doorbell and you’ll have to offer them a scarf.

Hello, dearest readers in Hive, it is again Whosee! I couldn’t help but become enthusiastic as I write this blog for you and make sense of the life I have daily in a way that is fulfilling. I am back in this community and today, my dilly-dallies are for you to read.
Welcome...this is **A Little Bit Of Break With A Little Group Of Friends**

Burnout is often a setup now since I became an official third-year psychology student. It would be an irony to know how I struggle with burnout, amidst being a psychology student in between, but I would say I still belong to mankind.

This state of excessive exhaustion turned out to be a normal experience for me, and I am afraid I cannot distinguish it from any other feeling I have. We all know how this thing works, but more often than not, we don’t know how to respond. It is a dead-or-alive situation, and for those who braved this creature every day, I extend my warmest congratulations.

Of course, even if I acknowledge that I have this thing, I keep in mind that it is not my friend. Hence, I look for ways to ease the madness it gives me and fill the positive-bar in me just to keep myself sane for a day. We have ways to cope with burnout and to tell you honestly, I would agree that what works for you should be the way, regardless of the manner you do it. Just make sure you won’t increase criminality in your town. LOL.

Yesterday, we brought out the frustration we had from class to McDonald's—the holy land of our town. McDonald's has been a friend since our freshman years, and it is still now our go-to place after heavy classes. We found comfort in its food and deals, helping us push through a day one more time—every day. It is a college student’s palace, our hospital, our own library, and our comfortable bedroom. We have turned McDonald's into our safe place as if it is our second home—which it is, as how we feel.

I have this little group of friends I just met a month ago as I stumbled upon a new set of classmates. Some of them were my friends since first year but we just lost the connection, while some of them are new to my recognition. They feel so fun to be with and the idea that they have different types of humor makes this group of people a vibrant one.

We immediately headed to the self-service kiosks since some of them were hungry. I could feel how our energy was consumed all throughout the classes, and feeling hungry became reasonable. The McDonald's kiosks are very helpful for customers as they reduce the length of time when waiting to place orders. We can scan and carefully change our orders in ways that are easy and convenient. After choosing our orders, we headed to the counter to pay for our food. I used the McDo app when ordering and it gave me a discount, since I chose food from the deals.

These are my friends waiting for their food since we all chose "pick up at counter."

They have this good screen above which informs customers which orders are being prepared in the kitchen and which ones are being served at the moment. We were waiting patiently at the counter and I took some photos of the place.

They have this inspiring wall calligraphy and I adore their preference when choosing the right quote that would mirror every customer regardless of the day.

As I waited for my order, I approached this Happy Meal Section. They currently have Ninja Turtles x Hello Kitty and Friends which are very cute to see. I have two of the toys—Hello Kitty x Leonardo and Cinnamoroll x Michelangelo. My friend gifted them to me a few weeks ago but I gave them to my niece since I am not really fond of collecting toys.

A little while later, my order was served at the counter and some of my friends were already at the table. I brought my receipt with me and they handled my order.

My order was McDonald's pepper steak, McFloat, and regular fries. I was really not hungry that time so I didn’t eat as much as usual.

We were having fun by exchanging conversations while enjoying our food. McDonald's food is very unique to my taste buds, especially their pepper steak which has a heavenly taste for me. I usually order chicken, sometimes the spicy one, but I wanted to eat their pepper steak that time, which caused me no regret.

It was a short break and a fleeting human interaction after exhausting classes. Indeed, it was simple, but the way it gave comfort for the meantime to us makes it expensive, which no currency can replicate. In adulthood, we often stumble upon this feeling of tiredness and sometimes, or usually, the people around us can ease it. So it is very important to choose the friendships you are in, the right people that would give you safe spaces as well as the soul deserving of yours.

What happened in McDonald's was fleeting, but the peace it gave became permanent in my heart. That is all about this blog, dearest readers, and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
With life and realization, I hope to see you soonest in my next stories. Thank you!
