"To Thy Own Self Be True" Songwriting Challenge #19 by Morgan Washam

Today's song is about being true to yourself. There are so many times that we are forced to compromise within ourselves while we work to make it through this maze called life. This song was a self reflection on my own demons about being honest with myself about life direction. It's by no means the whole enchilada, but it is a capture of one moment in time. The song mostly is a sad tune that may or may not be riddled with regrets. The feeling of the tune changes as the bridge comes together. The main message is to not lie to yourself and to live a life filled with love. Happy Monday!

By the way, if you navigated here from Facebook or LinkedIn and if you liked this song or others, please like the the link, as well as on Youtube. For some reason, the amount of feedback I'm receiving vs. the amount of plays that Youtube is logging is not adding up, and I'm curious as to obtaining accurate metrics on how far these posts are reaching. Thanks! See you tomorrow!
