The past few days have been quite busy for me, and I'm glad I made my entry for this week's 40. Ever since week 12, I have never wanted to miss a week in the Vibes competition, and I'm glad I kept to that.
How time flies! We are in week 40 and will be over soon... on the road to week 50. Would there ever be an X space again for the winners' announcement? I miss those days.
Anyway, let's dive right into my cover for this week.

I decided to try "**Awake and Alive**" by the Christian rock band, **Skillet**. It is one of the songs on my list to cover. I knew that for a good-quality performance, I had to use a better microphone or record in a studio.
It almost seemed impossible, but I had a burning desire to do this song, which I would have loved to be a collaboration, but that was also impossible, as the other community member had plans for week 40.
I also had some issues while editing the video, and after editing it. Exporting the video was also an issue for me, but I was "**Awake and Alive**" to make this entry and had to re-edit the video to make it quite simple. Phew!

**Awake and Alive** is one of my favourite rock songs. I admire Jen Ledger, Skillet's drummer and co-vocalist, probably because I was once a drummer and handled both Conga drums and Jazz drums in secondary school.
It wasn't easy to find the perfect tune to deliver this song, as it's best sung by two people with different voices, the way it was originally performed. So, I tried to stay on one tune with the help of the instrumental and not switch voices.

It's an inspirational and uplifting song that encourages us to be firm in our faith. Although temptation may come and we're likely to give in, remembering the love God has for us and trusting His words, with patience, He will see us through.
I got inspired and added some intentional and meaningful spoken interludes to accompany the message in the song, which is faith-centred.
I hope you find it inspiring, uplifting, interesting, and enjoyable and receive the message in the lyrics.
