This time I will share the story of today's activities, Saturday, May 10, 2025. As usual, the agenda for Saturday is to visit parents. It happened to be a sunny day, an idea came up to fill this day. Namely making a small project. Making a bridge, read (powotan - Javanese). A simple bridge, but hopefully it will have many benefits for us in particular, and for the community around our rice field area.

After visiting one of the nearest wood sellers in the village, the price of several materials for the raw materials for the bridge was agreed upon. Namely: Coconut tree wood, AKA glugu (Javanese), and several planks.

For information, the bridge will later be for road access to the rice field/field area above the Kembang River, approximately three meters wide. To meet that need, at least three coconut tree trunks are needed, 6 meters long. So, I ordered 3 glugu trunks plus 8 pieces of albasia wood planks.

With the following price details: Glugu Wood: 3 pieces x Rp.138,000,- = Rp, 414,000,- Wooden planks: 8 pieces for Rp. 100,000,- because with friends, the total friendship price we can pay Rp. 500,000,-

To complete it we need some nails and also cement.

With the help of one worker, and my father also joined. The three of us worked on this simple project from 08.00 in the morning until 14.00 WIB. quite tiring, but the results are quite satisfying.

At least there is a contribution to the surrounding community whose rice fields/fields around our land can also be accessed via the road. Why can it be called simple, because the access is currently only for two people to walk, or a maximum of motorbikes can pass.

I think, later on, approximately 30 people will be able to access this simple bridge, farmers, workers in the rice fields, grass collectors around our place. Hopefully this effort is meaningful and useful for everyone.

I think with 6 poles made across the river, and on top of it we cover it with planks, it is strong enough. Hopefully this bridge can be sustainable, even though it is not a permanent bridge. We hope that in the future we can build a permanent bridge.

My prediction is that a permanent bridge will require a budget of up to 30 million rupiah. It is not a small amount of money. The bridge that was built today cost almost one million rupiah. Well, it is still one-thirtieth of the budget for a permanent bridge.

The location of this bridge is to the east of the Sanggaluri Park tourist spot, Kutasari Purbalingga. This link to access the maps : https://maps.app.goo.gl/x3ovF2U49YReg99w7

The support from all hive friends means a lot, hopefully in the future the permanent bridge can be realized.
