POWERFUL!

Have you ever tried to write and all you saw was white space staring back at you? Ever tried to read but all you could do was drift off? And speak - but when you open your mouth, words fail you?

Words hold a power over us. The power to uplift and the power to break down. The power to move and the power to destroy. The power to evoke love and power to damage. The power to heal and the power to harm.

With every word - we speak, think and write - we start a butterfly effect; a ripple that becomes a current that turns into a wave... waves of cause and effect!

ALIVE

I'm fascinated at how we have been able to preserve the words of famous scholars, clerics, writers, poets, and ordinary people for centuries. Whether on tablets, in scrolls, books or audio, we preserve what we assign value to.

My parents probably held on to my first scribbles, but over the years - moving from place to place - it lost its value and is now reduced to dust!

But what if I told you that every (single) thing we say, think and write has value - value of the highest kind. Our words attract the very energy that moves this planet; the same energy that keeps the Earth revolving at the precise speed to keep the entire ecosystem in balance. This (same) energy lives on forever.

Now imagine for a moment that someone claps their hands. That sound sends invisible waves that can travel through the air forever and if there are no obstacles in its path, it will keep going on, and on and on... until it eventually bumps into something which converts it into heat energy!

Imagine that these are our words! How long are our words being kept alive?

Your Own!

Ownership is a tricky thing. Who determines what's truly ours? Our possessions, our time, our family, our community, our beliefs, our actions, our words?

When I thought of a name, @wordsofwealth jumped out at me because I believe that every word we speak, think of and write is a currency. Our words are our own - whether learned from a system of belief that we inherited or shaped by our unique experiences - our words tell a story!

So in a world with access to an infinite amount of words, let our words be used for good and own the power we have (nay the responsibility) to speak freely, live fully and write with authority!
