Buckle up for our last trip in France. This one brings us to the small town of Le Mont Dore in the Auvergne Rhône Alps region of the country. There, my wife and I spent one of the days of the weekend hiking an inactive volcano called Puy du Sancy.

🥈 Ilha do Pessegueiro - Porto Covo // Riding Portugal by @onyfest
We made the most of the day in Porto Covo, with its narrow streets and whitewashed houses, decorated with colorful flowers that contrasted with the blue sky. The town was lively around lunchtime, with tourists wandering the sidewalks, exploring the craft shops and cafes.

🥉 My Visit to Montserrat by @bobbyb58
My recent visit to Europe a while back included a stop in Barcelona. I'd wanted to go there for decades. Even had coworkers there who's offered to let me stay with them. That never worked out, so I was thrilled that I made it a stop on my way back to the states. One of the promoted, "gotta see" things is Santa Maria de Montserrat, an abbey high in the mountains and some 50km northeast of the city. The name translates to serrated mountain, fitting for the way this ridge line location looks from afar. The abbey is tucked into the majestic rocks, with spectacular views of the lands below.
