🥇 Visit to Takht-i-Bahi - Ancient Buddhist monastery complex- UNESCO World Heritage Site by @tahastories1

It was a long-running plan in my mind that i wanted to visit Takht-i-Bahi. This place is an ancient Buddhist monastery in Mardan city,KPK province of Pakistan. The journey before reaching the destination was a bit tiring as i was feeling deprived of my sleep, that is very dear to me. I was kind of dozing on the bus. After the bus, we took a ride of tuk-tuk to reach the focal point of the tour. But, as soon as I found myself standing in front of ancient archeological sites, which was considered among the most important sites in Buddhism, my eyes were wide open with astonishment.

🥈 Kayaking thru Ice at Northwestern Glacier, Kenai, Alaska by @dtam

It was a picture perfect day at Northwestern Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park. Like most of Alaska, there was not another person around for miles. It was just our little expedition cruise ship and our thirty passengers. The water was calm, almost like a mirror, reflecting the jaw-dropping scenery of the fjord. There was much less ice floating in the water than last time, but I still had high hopes that the guests would be able to see a calving, where chunks of ice as big as buildings fall off the glacier face and crash into the water. My plan was to get everyone on either kayaks or small boats, to give them a more intimate look at the glacier, the waterfalls, and the thousand foot cliffs of the fjord.

🥉 Let’s explore the Dutch fortified town of HEUSDEN with me ~ Heusden The Netherlands 🇳🇱 little update journey at the end by @littlebee4

Shall we stay a bit longer in The Netherlands? 🇳🇱 Of course we do… On my journey back north a week ago -ish. I drove slowly into the Netherlands from Belgium and along the way we just had to stop for some walks and to visit places I hadn’t visited before, while I lived in The Netherlands for many many moons. As our journey is truly far we needed to take enough little breaks.

Come and explore today with me the Fortified Town of HEUSDEN in Noord-Brabant ~ in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 We will wander through its cute streets, see the little harbour, its old houses and discover it has also a few windmills all hidden within the fortified walls and dykes that surround it. Just the shape of this small town is worth looking into. Don’t miss it…
