🥇 A Samurai's Stride by @azircon
Yesterday was a bit blurry as I was busy passing through the great city of Osaka and its subway system! Yeah, that is how detached this post will be relative to the title. I was just traveling through the city from Nara on my way to Koya, and thought why not visit the Osaka castle quick, as opposed to make this a travel day only. It was not a bad idea, but if you expecting Shogun vibes by visiting the Osaka castle today, you will be disappointed.

🥈 Sì, Silly Sicily: Down to Beauty by @godfish
Taormina sits on its rocky throne, perched above the sea like a sunbathing octopus. Or rather, like a kraken that gave up sinking ships and moved from the Norwegian Sea down south to retire. This kraken grabs souls and won’t let go so easily. On the first day, we were kindly allowed to descend to a beach along one of the kraken’s tentacles, which tentatively led us toward Giardini Naxos boundary. When coquetting with a kraken, one day's not enough, so we were brought back after visiting the gorgeous Alcantara Gorge. And this time, we walked down along another tentacle, the one that pushes Isola Bella farther from the coast, so that woeful bipeds like us have to wade to reach it. Isola Bella, the Beautiful Island, the Pearl of the Ionian Sea. Don’t tell Johnny Depp!

🥉 Leça do Balio - Corredor Verde do Leça / Riding Portugal by @onyfest
I woke up that autumn morning with the feeling that summer had left something behind. The sun streamed through the window with an almost provocative light, and instead of just staring, I decided to accept the invitation and go for a walk. Destination? The Leça do Balio ecological corridor. A small green haven that runs between riverbanks, bridges, and lawns, where the city and nature decided to sign a peace treaty.
