I took a night car to Srimangal. Along with a few travel enthusiasts from the De-Chut Travel Association, the night road was empty. When I arrived, I saw that it was only 2:30 am. As soon as I got off the bus, I felt a cold chill. This is the feeling of winter in autumn. In the midst of the time and weather, I knocked on the main gates of the residential hotels with the street watchman. No one agreed to give me a room for the night. What else could I do? I decided to spend the night in Srimangal town by walking randomly. While walking, I met an 82-year-old watchman. After he showed me a passenger to sit in the tent, a heated discussion ensued. Local drivers and watchmen participated. Night fell as we chatted and talked. As the dawn broke, local social worker Shyamal Dev Barma arrived in a rented jeep. After finishing the episode of Hi Hello, I ran to Lasuban with my grandfather. Lasuban is an ancient gorge at the foot of Nahar Khasia Punji, about 25 kilometers from the city. We braked in the middle and stopped. As we were going, the car got stuck due to a huge landslide in front of the Tiprachara rubber plantation. It didn't work out! I had to leave the car and start walking. While walking, I saw Nahar Tea Garden. Wow! A wonderful tea garden on the slope of the hill and the hill. The beauty of the beautiful garden easily catches my eye. I kept moving forward with a feeling of pleasure. As I went, I fell on the freshly picked jackfruit. As the national fruit tree was about to transform into a ripe and delicious fruit, the colorful houses of Nahar Punji, the Khasia village, caught my eye. After climbing the hill and reaching Punji, I met Dibar Min Khasia and Sell Khasia, the leaders of the small ethnic Khasia tribe living there. They knew about our arrival in advance. So it didn't take long to get permission to enter. After explaining to the family of the market guide Orchid, I went out to explore Punji. Beautiful Nahar Khasia Punji like in the picture. In front of every house are various types of flowers and trees. Colorful butterflies fly on the flowers blooming on those trees. In the forest floor of Punji, the native, lost, ripe kauf fruits are spread on the ground in the storm. Various unknown fruits including cham jackfruit are hanging from the trees. But there are no people to eat them. We saw the kauf fruits and quickly grabbed them with permission like a hidden treasure. Ah, what a taste. It wouldn't have been bad if it was salted with dried chilies. Ha ha ha. Many of the current generation don't even recognize kauf fruits anymore. The Khasia girls of Punji are very beautiful and smart. They catch the eye at first sight. If the rebel poet had come here at that time, maybe he would have given his beloved heart to someone. I walked forward tasting the kauf fruits. Otherwise, who knows who my heart will break for again. Ha ha ha. There is no caste or age in falling in love. No border line can be an obstacle. Turning my eyes, I stood in front of the border pillar, as the gift of nature melted away in the gaps between the rows of jackfruit trees. On that side, in the state of Tripura, India. In front of no-man's land, I remembered the great historical saying of the oppressed public leader Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani - Assam is mine, West Bengal is mine, Tripura is also mine. Mine is mine, but now it is not ours. So, seeing the natural beauty and mountains of Tripura from afar, I returned to the house of the Khasia leaders again. This time, I prepared to wear clothes suitable for entering the gorge. During this break, I was served with extraordinary milk tea prepared by the Khasia women. After being unexpectedly entertained and expressing my gratitude, I set off towards the gorge with the young Khasia Fancy as my guide. I have to descend about 500 feet from the mountain. The road is quite slippery due to the rain in Ilsheguri. As far as the eye can see, it is surrounded by pristine jungle. The recent hype of Russell Viper, is it not Thorai Care! But one has to keep in mind the pain of leeches. As we go, we see a stream with great caution. The surroundings are silent. The environment is eerie. There is no sign of any human being except us. This time, we are walking on the stream path. The movement of the water is not very convenient. Sometimes it increases and sometimes it decreases. The fear of flash floods cannot be ruled out. The name of the stream is Langulia. Its source is Tripura state. The rocks under the water are very sharp. Moving forward is quite difficult. Still, we have to go to see the unseen natural beauty. Sometimes I am coping with it under the guise of humor and eating noodles. When I am intoxicated by nature, no obstacle seems difficult anymore. The place of the gorge, Sindurkhan Union, is still a bit far away. The trail surrounded by greenery is extraordinary. In a word, a wonderful hiking trail. So the feeling of pleasure is also sky-high. There are three mountain gorges there named Krem Keri, Krem Ulaka and Krem Klu. These are in the Khasi language. Just like Lasuban means wild flower. As we go, the desired gorge caught our eye. We decided to enter Krem Ulaka to enjoy a more exciting adventure than the other two. A narrow path between two mountains. No waterfall exists. Yet, water is flowing down the mountain in a continuous stream. The water in the gorge was knee-deep in some places, chest-deep in others, and sometimes I swam across again. The jungle environment surrounded by dense jungle gradually replaced the daylight, and the darkness engulfed the interior. It became so dark that I could not see well even from a distance of one and a half to two feet. In some places, my body was stuck even after I tilted my whole body. There was such a narrow place in the middle of the gorge, where I had to spread my legs and step on the mountain. It was a completely spooky feeling. The situation was so complicated that if I suddenly tripped, it might be a sure death. There was no place to stand while running. Both sides of the mountain were steep and rose upwards. In such a situation, while crossing a path of about a kilometer inside the mysterious ancient gorge, I felt that this was one of the best journeys of my life. So far, everything was fine, but at the end, I got trapped due to my heavy body. That was also a thrilling and fun experience. Then, with the sound of the traveling companions' cheers and shouts, the body returned to the lake called Bara Gang in the sunlight. Hiking, trekking, adventure, everything has reduced the pain of not being able to go to the depths of Bandarban lately. The Lasuban Gorge expedition, surrounded by breathtaking nature, of terrible beauty, will remain indelible in the mirror of the travel bag's memory.
