Look at the mission I took on again this year: baking the birthday cake for my twin cousins! They’re turning 13 today, and tomorrow we’re having a little family party at my uncle’s house — and of course, I couldn’t miss adding that homemade touch I always bring.
I started with the basics: batter in the oven, the smell of chocolate filling the kitchen, and me peeking through the oven door every five minutes just to make sure it wouldn’t flop — because I’m anxious and a little unlucky sometimes hahaha. Then came the best part: filling and frosting! First with dulce de leche, then I covered everything in chocolate and finished it off with sprinkles, because honestly, a kids’ party without sprinkles isn’t a party at all, right?
The result? A simple cake, but made with love, just the way my family likes it.
Tomorrow there’ll also be barbecue, hot dogs, and a whole lot of fun — exactly the way they deserve to celebrate this new stage of life.

Olha só a missão que eu encarei de novo este ano: o bolo dos meus primos gêmeos! Eles estão completando 13 anos hoje e amanhã vamos fazer uma festinha em família na casa do meu tio e é e claro que não podia faltar aquele jeitinho caseiro que eu sempre dou.
Comecei pelo básico: massa no forno, cheirinho de chocolate tomando conta da cozinh, aquela parte em que eu fico espiando o forno de 5 em 5 minutos só pra garantir que não vai solar, porque eu sou ansioda e meio azarada hahahah. Depois veio a parte boa: recheio e cobertura! Primeiro com doce de leite, depois mergulhei tudo no chocolate e finalizei com granulado, porque festa de criança sem granulado não é festa, né?
O resultado? Um bolo simples, mas feito com amor, do jeitinho que a família gosta.
Amanhã também vai ter churrasco, cachorro-quente e muita bagunça, do jeitinho que eles merecem para comemorar essa nova fase da vida.
