On my Xiaomi Redmi 12C smartphone I played Splinterlands only in the Hive Keychain application so far.
Sometimes the animations and the overall responsiveness of the Splinterlands game is lagging, and rarely the Hive Keychain application even freezes.
In those cases, there are two available options.
"Wait" and "OK".
By tapping the "OK" button, the Hive Keychain application simply crash or exit, and I have to restart it.
The version of the Hive Keychain application is v2.8.5 (Beta), which is currently the latest available version.
And the back of my smartphone becomes hotter if I play Splinterlands for more than a few minutes.
During I play Splinterlands, I do not open anything else on my smartphone, and only one tab (the Splinterlands game) is running in the browser of the Keychain application.
Other than this, the Splinterlands game is running, and it is playable, and it is fun and enjoyable.
I do not know if the above mentioned things are caused by software bug(s), by optimisation related problem(s), or by hardware performance related problem(s), or maybe more or all of this.
I write down the software and the hardware details of my Xiaomi Redmi 12C smartphone down below.
Maybe it will help the developers (or other Splinterlands players) (or even me too, if there is a known solution to this), if they read this post.
Software details: OS version: Xiaomi HyperOS 1.0.11.0.UCVEUXM. Android Version: Android 14 UP1A.231005.007. Android Security Update: 2025-06-01.
Hardware details: CPU: MediaTek Helio G85 Octa-core Max 2 GHz. RAM: 3 GB. GPU: Mali-G52. Storage: 64 GB (currently available 34.70 GB).
I tried the new game mode, the Frontier Ranked.
At least new for me. I have not seen it so far.
I like its daily reward aspect.
It reminds me of the first (and so far the best) years (2018 and 2019) of the Splinterlands game.
There were daily rewards in the Splinterlands game in that time too.
And Splinterlands was one of my favorite video games in that time.
My first reward in this Frontier ranked game mode is a Spinetail Fiend (common Death) card, which currently has 16 677 cards in circulation, and currently its estimated value is $0.02 USD. Currently I have two of this card.
I played 15 Frontier ranked battles in this season so far, from which I won six games (currently my Frontier ranked win rate is 40% in this season), with a maximum win streak of three.
I played the Modern ranked game mode too in this season.
I played 71 Modern ranked games, from which I won 21 battles (currently my Modern ranked win rate is 29.57% in this season), with a maximum win streak of four.
In this season, I played both of these game modes mostly with the base card sets, with a few exceptions.
One of these exceptions is the Infernal Firestorm (Epic Fire) card, which I bought two days ago (on 2025.08.27).
I relatively often use this card in battles since then.
I continue playing Splinterlands at least in the current season, which will end in one day and 20 hours.
If you also play Splinterlands, then good luck and have fun.
