The Splinterlands Modern Ranked game mode matchmaking system should still be tweaked (2025.09.10)

Basically Splinterlands would be a good, entertaining card game.

But it is often still unfair.

Similarly to what it was in the previous few years.

It often gives much higher rated opponents.

For example currently I play in the Bronze III League, with a rating usually between 260 and 300, and Splinterlands often gives opponents between 400 and 800 rating. Sometimes even above 900.

And these opponents often have much stronger and higher leveled cards.

There should not be hundreds points of difference between two players in the same league, who play against each other.

Honestly I rather close the game, and I look for another, actually fair and entertaining game, which have a proper matchmaking system.

And probably most people also would do the same.

At least those, who play a game for entertainment, relaxing, or any similar reason.

And maybe even those, who play to compete with others.

Because having to play against much higher rated opponents is simply unfair from the game.

Both in ranked, or in not ranked games too.

And apparently I am not even ranked in the game at the moment, because in order to be ranked, Splinterlands players nowadays have to play at least 100 battles in a season.

I played only 39 battles in this season so far, and I won only nine so far, with a maximum win streak of two.

Currently my win rate is only 23.08%.

Maybe I will continue to play Splinterlands in the next four days to have at least 100 battles in this season to finish this season somewhere (probably in the Bronze III) (and maybe I will even buy one or two Rare Draws after the end of the current Splinterlands season), and then probably I will stop playing Splinterlands again at least for a few months.

This depends on how fair or unfair the Splinterlands game continue to be in the next four days.

Of course, if you play Splinterlands, and if you are enjoying it, then good luck and have fun.
