Because every human being has their own meaning and purpose in life. What is the meaning of life? Meaning has to do with, or is related to, my talents. When I find my meaning, I discover my talents, what I do best. I take that and apply it to my profession, to my way of life. In this way, I am assigning purpose and meaning to my life. Purpose must be good for ourselves, and it must be good for others. If it isn't, it's not purpose. And that is what we, as a society, are losing. We are losing the essence of humanity, which is to do our best. And our best must also be something good for others. > Joy needs a reason. For example, you are joyful because you bought a new car. You are happy because your child got into college, or because you managed to find the solution to a problem that had been plaguing you for a long time. > People confuse happiness with joy. ##### Happiness is something else.
