#### _The people who died yesterday had plans for today._
Some of the people who died yesterday had alarm clocks set for this morning. Some of them even had lunch plans with a longtime friend. Text messages that were never answered. Dreams that were never pursued, or even achieved.
They thought they had more time.
Just like we have now.
We keep telling ourselves that we will start living after the next job. After we heal. After we are ready to move on.
But the truth that no one wants to hear is this:
Tomorrow is not promised. It never was. Nor can it ever be.
We are not guaranteed to see another sunrise. We never were. That can never be done.
We were never promised the opportunity to have another conversation with someone we wanted to say something to that remained unsaid. Or an apology that remained unasked...
How many moments have we wasted scrolling through social media feeds, or lying numbly on the sofa watching some series... Waiting for a perfect day that may never come or even exist.
How many people do you love right now, and assume you'll always have time for them, to tell them how much you love and appreciate them?
This is your life. Not tomorrow. Not next week.
Now.
So, look up. Feel your breath rise in your chest... and fall. Call that person and tell them the truth. Pursue your dreams, because one day your name will be spoken in the past tense. And at that point, just like now, the only thing that will matter is how you chose to live your life while you could.
