A little Abbey, located at the edge of the lake in the middle of nature. The medieval bell tower peeking out over the old olive trees of the garden. The only sounds which can be heard are rushing leaves and chirping birds. Imagine you just found the most peaceful place in Italy

When I looked at park4night, the app I use to find spots to stay with my campervan, I saw some kinda peninsula in the lake, home to an Abbey. It seemed kinda cool and I decided to go there. In this blog, I will take you with me to the gorgeous Abbey and the even better location and garden! It was such a treasure to encounter!

The garden is incredibly quiet and peaceful and I can not imagine a better place to just sit down and self reflect. It was just unbelievably peaceful over here, I did not expect to like the place as much as I did.
The garden has this area with beautiful olive trees and another road with beautiful green tall, perfectly trimmed trees with the Abbeys bell tower reaching out above them all. The garden feels almost like a botanic garden,but the tower makes you remember that the beautiful garden is just a small part of the whole scenery. It is just perfection.
At the Picture at the left, you can see the Bell tower peak above the olive trees. Wouldn't this be the perfect place to enjoy a picnic, here in the shade of the trees?
There are several spots around the area which offer a scenic view of Lake Como to make the location even more perfect.

Hidden in the garden, you can find a little cave which completely filled up with pictures of peoples loved ones
I entered the Abbey and found out that it is used for art now, with some Colorful pieces exhibited on the walls. My favorite is the orange/yellow one as I love the colors together.

I truly loved how the old Abby is the center of the garden. It isn't a large building like most of the famous historical Abbeys but it is tiny and kinda cute. The garden has many beautiful sections but it doesn't matter at which place of the garden you are roaming around, you can see the bell tower from any point peeking out over the beautiful gardens. This is truly a hidden gem in Italy. I have visited the abbey several times since I camped for a week just next door by the lake (the blog about the camp by the lake will follow soon. I believe this picturesque Abbey definitely earned its own blog, don't you agree?)
