I've been busy for the past several months working on my solo TTRPG Beyond the Bleak Forest. It is a RPG about ominous positivity and navigating the harsh realities of life, to discover yourself and escape the "Bleak Forest". Thematically, I've been very inspired by Atmospheric Black Metal. Bands like Wolves in the Throne Room, Blackbraid, Caladan Brood, Wyampiric Rites, etc. kind of give you an idea of the visual feel of what I'm going for. The game itself is an old school OSR/D&D based game (6 stats, d20) but is more unforgiving. I'll get into that in subsequent posts, but for now, I just want to put some visuals out there to get the feel going. I'll update some more soon, but until then, cheers and happy gaming!
