Here is a piece i did for the upcoming cosmic horror show at Covenant Dark Arts, Magick, and Culture. The King in Yellow by Robert W. Chambers is one of the progenerators of the cosmic horror genre. The book of short stories influenced H.P. Lovecraft and the Cthulhu mythos - perhaps the most iconic representation of the genre. In fact, the King in Yellow has been conflated with Hastur and is often depicted as one of the elder gods of the mythos. I am quite taken with the King in Yellow, a much more insideous and enigmatic figure than most figures in cosmic horror stories. It is always fun to get a chance to draw a picture of the king. Cheers!
