so today we're going to the other side of the wonderful Lac de Sainte-Croix and it's so completely different from where we were yesterday...
Yesterday it was like a small campsite for travelers with old and colorful caravans... You could strike up a conversation with anyone... it almost reminded me of a hippy community, everyone was playing music, dancing on the street in the rain, eating together at a big table and inviting us and everyone else who came by.... It was beautiful and made you feel right at home <3
so heute geht es auf die andere Seite des wunderbaren Lac de Sainte-Croix und die ist so komplett anders als die, wo wir gestern waren...
Gestern war es wie ein kleiner Campingplatz für reisende mit alten und bunten Wohnwägen... man konnte mit jedem ins Gespräch kommen... es hat mich schon beinahe an eine Hippi gemeinschaft erinnert, alle spielten Musik, tanzten auf der Straße im Regen, aßen gemeinsam an einem großen Tisch und luden uns und alle anderen die vorbei kamen ein.... es war wunderschön und man hat sich direkt heimisch gefühlt <3

Despite this beautiful time, we drove about 2 hours today to get to the other side and see what's there... we had also set ourselves the goal of driving to the sea this year, so we have to drive at least a short distance south every day :D
trotz dieser schönen Zeit fuhren wir heute ungefähr 2 Stunden um auf die andere Seite zu gelangen und zu schauen was es da so gibt... wir hatten uns ausserdem zum Ziel gesetzt, dieses Jahr doch bis zum Meer zu fahren, also müssen wir jeden Tag wenigstens eine kurze Strecke richtung Süden zurücklegen :D

Arriving on the southernmost side of the lake, the pure sun awaited us, almost 40 degrees Celsius and a lake with waves reminiscent of the sea... Camping with anything but a fixed tent is also allowed around the whole lake and was very popular... However, you were more likely to see expensive motorhomes, caravans and boats here...
We drove around the lake for about 20 minutes until we found a spot right on the shore where we set up our roof tent. There were toilets, picnic tables, fire bowls and a shallow entrance into the water... it was heavenly, exactly what we were looking for and better than we had hoped... <3
Auf der Südlichsten Seite des Sees angekommen erwartete uns die pure Sonne, beinahe 40 grad Celsius und ein See mit Wellengang der ans Meer erinnert... Das Campen mit allem außer festem Zelt ist hier ebenso um den ganzen See herum erlaubt und wurde rege in Anspruch genommen... Allerdings sah man hier eher teure Wohnmobile, Wohnwägen und Boote..
Wir fuhren ca 20 min um den See bis wir eine n Platz direkt am Ufer gefunden haben an dem wir unser Dachzelt aufbauten. es gab Toiletten, Pickniktische, Feuerschalen und einen flachen Einstieg ins Wasser... es war himmlisch, genau das was wir gesucht hatten und besser als wir gehofft hatten... <3

We couldn't help but spend 2 days in this beautiful place.... After all the breakdowns and the unplanned stops, we just wanted to approach the rest of our vacation as relaxed and stress-free as possible... The little one also really liked it here and there were restaurants and stores nearby... Just perfect, so to speak...
Definitely worth a visit <3
Wir konnten nicht anders als an diesem schönen Ort 2 Tage zu verbringen.... Nach all den Pannen und den ungeplanten Stops wollten wir den restlichen Urlaub einfach so entspannt und Stressfrei wie möglich angehen... auch der kleinen hat es hier super gefallen und es gab Restaurants und Läden in der Nähe... einfach perfekt sozusagen...
Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert <3
