**Good night or good morning everyone, hope u all doing great.**
It’s been quite some time since I last shared a fan art piece. The last one was the creation of the [Team Light](https://peakd.com/hive-131131/@yanes94/light-healer-holozing-fanart-svrb1z), and returning to this type of project reminded me how much I enjoy exploring universes that inspire me.

This time I wanted to venture into a fusion within the world of Holozing: the Ocean Healer and the creature known as Tiderox. Two very different forces, but together they could give life to something entirely new. I had already created fusions with the Ocean Healer before, combining her with other creatures, but each mix feels like a whole new world of possibilities.

The Ocean Healer has always conveyed to me a sense of calm, a connection with the spiritual, and a protective energy. Tiderox, on the other hand, feels quite different----an almost indomitable, powerful presence. The challenge was to merge those two essences: the softness of healing with the intensity of the colossal. After going through several ideas in my mind, I finally decided on this one.

I started the illustration in Corel Painter, where I spent most of the time working. My approach was somewhat similar to a grayscale technique ----.though not exactly grayscale----- using just a single base color. From there, I only needed to layer the final tones of the illustration with the overlay mode.

Although most of the work was done in Corel Painter, I moved the piece into Photoshop for the final touches. That’s where I applied the colors, refined the highlights, and polished the details that completed the illustration.

As always or almost always, I recorded part of the process on video, from which I took several captures and this is what I share with you today as a small step by step. I always like to show the behind the scenes because that's where the real magic of the process is.

I streamed the main moments of this illustration for a few hours on Arena. There were a couple of technical issues along the way, but support quickly helped me through Discord, and I was able to keep working without losing the flow of creation. I didn’t stream any longer though, since it was already getting late and I would get up very early the next day and every other day in fact🤣

I’m not really sure how many hours it took me to finish this drawing completely 🤔🤔, but it was definitely a few. Honestly, I tend to multitask, so I worked on it in between breaks.

This fan art feels like a return for me --- a reminder of why I fell in love with creating this kind of work in the first place: reinterpreting, experimenting, and letting myself flow. I’ll probably be exploring other creatures soon ☺️ I hope it conveys something to you too, whether it’s the serenity of the sea or the power of the unknown, Who knows? ...
