Hey everyone! Nite morning ๐ How are you doing? Iโm here
Hey guys!
So yeah, this week I jumped into the Splinterlands art contest again, and I decided to go with a fanart of one of my fav characters from the game. I wasnโt trying to make a totally new version or change the design too much...just adding my own vibe, just keeping the essence but giving it that personal touch.

I started the base in Corel Painter, which I love using when I want that painterly feeling. The brushes there feel more natural, like real textures, and it helps me set the tone faster. Thatโs where I built the pose and the atmosphere, trying to give the character that strong, majestic presence Splinterlands characters usually have.

# This is the character I have taken as a reference for this week.
Then I moved to Photoshop to clean up and refine everything ... lights, shadows, colors, and small effects. Sometimes thatโs my go-to for finishing touches. I focused a lot on the lighting and those magical glow effects around her. I wanted her to look powerful but still elegant at the same time.

Tbh, it didnโt take me super long cause I did it in small sessions. Sometimes I just step away for a bit, look at other stuff, then come back with fresh eyes. Works better that way for me .... Less stress, more chill. brb moments are totally part of my workflow .

My fav part was playing with the lighting and metallic textures of her armor. Those small highlights and reflections make a big difference, and they bring the whole piece to life. It also helped me balance the darker areas with the glowing blue tones, which made the whole scene feel more dynamic.

If you check the pics, youโll see my fanart on display. I focused on bringing my own touch to the piece, experimenting with softer lighting to create a more atmospheric feel. I played around with colder tones to give it a unique mood and spent extra time adding small details to make the artwork feel more immersive and alive. Every element was carefully considered, from the textures to the subtle highlights, to give the overall piece depth and character.

Honestly, thatโs the best part of these contests... I created this piece in a really relaxed way, just enjoying the process and letting the ideas flow naturally. I didnโt stress about perfection or overthinking every detail โ instead, I focused on experimenting and having fun with colors, lighting, and textures.

It was a chance to just play with different techniques and see where the art would take me.Overall, it was a really enjoyable process that allowed me to connect with the art itself, experiment freely, and simply enjoy creating without any pressure.

So yeah, thatโs my entry for this week . Had a blast making it, and Iโm really happy with how it turned out. Iโve left some screenshots from the video I made so you can see part of the process and check out some of the textures and colors I used. I still think taking screenshots from the video is easier and more convenient than saving the process constantly, since I sometimes forget to do it. Hope you enjoy it! See ya next week! โ๏ธ lol
