**Good night or good morning everyone, hope u all doing great.**
For prompt number 24, “Rowdy.” tooooooooooo late .. I couldn’t post it yesterday because I had a few setbacks, but I didn’t want to miss the chance to share it. It means a lot to me since it represents an important part of my creative process and a very personal connection to something I’m deeply passionate about: music.

I’ve been checking out posts from this user on X who always shares pics from rock and metal concerts. I love that whole vibe , the energy, the lights, the raw emotion .... so idk, those shots totally inspired me and gave me the idea to make this drawing..

Tbh, I listen to all kinds of music, but Slipknot is def one of my faves. I’m more into their old stuff tho ... it just hits harder, more raw and emotional, imo. I haven’t really checked out much of their new songs, but there’s this one kinda recent track that got stuck in my head and ended up inspiring this piece.
So, I took that intense, raw metal energy and kinda mixed it with the Forest Healer. I imagined her in a wilder, stronger version, with this metal vibe.. Idk, I just liked the idea of seeing her from another angle... louder, freer, but still keeping her essence.

The whole thing started super simple. I made a quick sketch one of those days when the power was out (which happens a lot, lol). When the lights finally came back, I moved it to my PC and started the long part.... cleaning, fixing, and tweaking it over and over until the lines looked the way I wanted.
For the face, I used a photo of this girl (no clue what her name was, idk) , to have her as a reference , she had the perfect screaming expression I was going for. I’ve never thought I’m that good with linework, tbh, but this time I was actually pretty happy with how it turned out ... it felt raw, emotional, and kinda powerful.

I did the whole piece in Photoshop , layering like crazy .... tons of clipping masks, grayscale tones, shadows, messing with opacity, the usual. It was slow af but each layer added more life to the character, so it was worth it imo.
The final touch was my fave part.. I added this thin white outline around her, to make her pop from the background, kinda like a concert poster vibe. Oh, and I also threw in a short line from a Slipknot song that means a lot to me. It’s one of those lyrics that doesn’t say much if you don’t know it, but if you do, it hits deep.

Ik it’s not the most detailed or complex piece I’ve ever done, but tbh I’m super attached to it. I really enjoyed every step of the process ... it made me reconnect with something I love. Even if it’s kinda simple, it still feels very me, Imo it was the perfect way to wrap up my participation in the Zintober event, and I’m just happy..... lol

After I finished everything and saved the video, I took some screenshots and all that stuff. In the pic (right), I was messing around with a few gradient maps .... tried a bunch of color versions, but this one just hit right, so yeah…. I’m leaving it like this haha.
