I've been experimenting for some time now and this, gives me so much joy; I mean the outcome. The twirling effect from the "liquidify tool" is what I'm talking about.

The sketch was not really a complex one. Though it took me a couple of hours to fix the proportion.
Here, I first layered out the midtone before I started adding the other layers of the highlights and shadows.
I first tried out this background. But it didn't quite give me the contrast.
So, I played with the layer and worked o the lighter and darker shade of the layer.
