Hello,
the exam is over, the work week is over too, I've finally got time to draw and to participate in some contests. Here come the entries for the Inktober themed contest hosted by @kommienezuspadt.
No.1: Demonic vision
As usual I tend to draw some fantasy/demonic stuff, this time is no different. Here comes the first picture, it is a demon with a black hole in his forehead, because why not? Judging by the way he is looking, he seems to not be amused about this. Also the horns demolish all the caps and hats *sigh. No wonder he es is annoyed/angry.
(drawn digitally in GIMP using a graphic tablet)
Process
- sketchy sketch
- some clear lines
- more clear lines
- background added
- light hatching added
(step-by-step process animation)
No. 2: Warrior parrot
The second entry is a parrot who is fighting for his freedom and the freedom of his people... Yea, I don't know neither what I was thinking about :D
(drawn with copics on paper)
The process was as usual: at first a rough sketch, then clear lines, in the end hatching. Unfortunately there are no step by step pics of the process.
For this drawing and the next one I used a reference from a how-to-draw-animals book "Die große Zeichenschule Tiere" by Walter Halbinger:
(references from a book)
The book is not my favourite, but it offers an acceptable range of animals. Moreover it was a present ;D
No. 3: Ostrich in disguise
Don't ask me about the background story. Maybe I was drunk or something, just kidding. I used a reference and the sheer cpoying was pretty boring, Therefore I added some (unsignificant :D ) details
(drawn with copics on paper)
Is it me or does the ostrich look a little bit like Liam Neeson?
