Finally I decided to take part in a SteemMonster art contest.
The entries can be drawings, paintings, mixed media art, even music etc. My entry is a drawing (who would've expected this? :D).
The background
The Great Mice Mage, formerly the Arch-Mage of the Arcanic Institute, is pretty old by now. He have thought so many times about accepting a apprenticeship request, thus taking care of an inexperienced and clueless person.
This means on the one hand he is going to have to explain all the simple and basic stuff. On the other hand however there will be a person, who is willing to be ordered around. Pretty fine for the great mage.
Since the eyesight is getting weak and the small body is getting tired from the slightest travels, a clueless helper would come in handy.
If the old mouse could have known beforehand that the youth nowadays have so little talent and therefore it would be very hard to pick the least hopeless one... (－‸ლ)

The drawing process
The picture is drawn digitally in GIMP. The process is as usual as follows: 1. step: at first a rough sketch, the idea itself 2. step: clearer lines 3. step: added black background (= border for the following colors) 4. step: added flat colors and flares 5. step: more red in the background, it's a little more ill-omened now
