Es la historia de Nan-young, una mujer astronauta, que tras perder a su madre cuando aún era una niña, se dedicó a seguir su camino, como astronauta y lograr de esta manera viajar a Marte, así seguirá con la investigación que dejo su madre, y poder afrontar los miedos que han venido cargando consigo y que no la dejan dormir tranquila, pero mientras lograr aprobar para poder viajar a Marte, se encuentra con Jay, un hombre músico que le gusta reparar artefactos antiguos sobre todo de música, es ahí que el destino los une para conocerse.
Al principio Nan dudará a relacionarse con él pero a medida que se van conociendo, se dan cuenta lo que sienten el uno por el otro y la relación bonita que comienzan a formar, lo cual para ambos es importante ya que ella simplemente vivía enfocada en su trabajo y lograr viajar a Marte, en el caso de Jay solo reparar artefactos y alejarse de lo que en realidad le gusta, componer música y cantar, así que cada uno tendrá la oportunidad de ir cumpliendo otras metas y sentirse mejor con cada uno.
Aunque no todo resultará tan sencillo, porque para Nan, la importancia de cumplir su sueño de ir a Marte y entender que paso con su mamá, lo que vio, como vivió sus últimos momentos se vuelven importantes, a pesar de que ello implique dejar todo lo que tiene en el momento atrás, pero sabiendo que regresará cueste lo que cueste, es ahí cuando Jay deberá enfrentar el hecho de dejarla ir o acabar con toda su relación para no afrontar lo mal que se siente ver partir a un ser amado a un lugar donde no sabes cómo será, que habrá o que peligros pueda correr, pero sin embargo, tienes que decidir si lo mejor es apoyar y esperar fielmente que regresará.
Es una historia en donde se puede apreciar la superación, lograr tus metas y descubrir cosas nuevas, aun sabiendo los riesgos que puedes correr pero entendiendo que es mejor dar un paso más y cumplir tus metas, que quedarte estancado y no saber que hubiese sido mejor si intentarlo y haber logrado algo, o intentarlo y haber fallado, no es sencillo sobre todo cuando dejas a atrás a otros que te quieren, pero cuando se ama hay que saber apoyar y dejar hacer, para no lastimar en el proceso y entender que pase lo que pase siempre hay un lugar a donde se puede regresar.
