PhotoFeed Contest - Portrait Photography Round 137 ~ Traces of a Farmer's Life in the Rice Fields

Hello Hivers....

This post is my entry for the Portrait Photography Contest hosted by @photofeed. If you'd like to participate, please read the rules

In the photo I'm sharing, a farmer is seen walking towards his rice field. Wearing simple clothing, a shabby hat to protect his head from the hot sun, and a hoe slung over his shoulder, this figure represents the determination and hard work of Indonesian farmers.

His steps slowly but surely traced the still-damp rice paddy embankments. In his hand he held a machete, a simple yet meaningful tool that faithfully accompanied him as he tilled the soil and prepared the land for planting rice. Barefoot, he was accustomed to being at one with the mud and soil, as if it had become part of his daily life.

Morning for farmers is not a time to relax. While others are just beginning their activities, they are already out in the fields, braving the scorching sun, rain, and muddy soil. All of this is done to plant the seeds of hope: rice that will one day become a source of food for many.

This photo not only captures the figure of a farmer but also depicts a philosophy of life. Simplicity, hard work, and sincerity radiate from his every step. Farmers are not just workers of the land but also unsung heroes who ensure the survival of many.

Behind every grain of rice we enjoy lies the sweat and prayers of farmers, as seen in this photo. They may not seek attention or recognition, but their presence is what keeps us going.

Important Note: I wrote in Indonesian, then translated it using Google Translate. Regards @yayan
