Hola amigos de Hive Open Mic , es un placer volver a participar en este espacio y esta vez con un tema tan enigmático y atrayente como lo es el mito de las sirenas. Confieso que desde niña quería ser como la sirenita Ariel y me fascinaba la idea de ser una sirena y vivir todas aquellas aventuras del filme. Ya de mayor me sigue gustando la idea de que hayan existido y que las historias de marinos perdidos por sus cantos sean ciertas. Hoy les comparto el tema "My jolly sailor bold", una canción de marineros del siglo XVII, que fue arreglada e incluida en uno de los filmes de la saga "Piratas del Caribe". Aquí es interpretada por una sirena que utiliza sus encantos para llevar a los marineros directo a una trampa y ahogar a toda la tripulación. I confess that since I was a child I wanted to be like Ariel, the little mermaid, and I was fascinated by the idea of being a mermaid and living all those adventures in the film. Now that I'm older, I still love the idea that they existed and that the stories of sailors lost because of their songs are true. Today I'm sharing the song "My Jolly Sailor Boy," a 17th-century sailor song that was arranged and included in one of the films in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" saga. Here it's performed by a mermaid who uses her charms to lead the sailors straight into a trap and drown the entire crew.
