Leostrategy launches SURGE, the HBD competitor. Well, that's not exactly true, but I liked it as a catchy title. So forgive me for the license.

The truth is that LEO continues unstoppable, and it's largely thanks to Leostrategy's initiative, although I think the new token mania has more weight. Leostrategy has launched two new products: one based on voting that rewards its holders and a new token, SURGE. This is something like a perpetual debt, which is why it's not really like HBD, or maybe it is because HBD isn't a stablecoin but rather a Hive debt. But SURGE isn't a stablecoin because its long-term goal is to increase in value and not remain in the theoretical dollar.
So why does it compete with HBD? Because, curiously, it offers a very similar return of around 15%, and this twist of fate is not lost on anyone. Perhaps this is just a preview of LEO's managers' interest in taking over Hive or creating an alternative.
