Hace unas semanas, empecé a sentir un fuerte dolor en la cervical que, con el tiempo, empeoró y terminó afectando mi columna. Esto me dejó adolorida durante varios días, impidiéndome realizar mis tareas de forma óptima. Ni siquiera podía manejar mi scooter. Por suerte, mi esposo estaba de vacaciones y pudo encargarse de llevar a los niños a sus prácticas deportivas, así que todo marchó como de costumbre. Pero como ya saben, soy inquieta y, a pesar del dolor, siempre estaba buscando algo que hacer.
Hello everyone, happy Friday! I hope you are all doing wonderfully. Today, after several weeks of taking a break due to health issues, I am resuming my posts, feeling much more rested and recharged. A few weeks ago, I started to feel severe pain in my neck, which worsened over time and ended up affecting my spine. This left me in pain for several days, preventing me from performing my tasks optimally. I couldn't even ride my scooter. Luckily, my husband was on vacation and was able to take the kids to their sports practices, so everything went on as usual. But as you know, I'm restless, and despite the pain, I was always looking for something to do.
Durante esos días no pude ir a entrenar y, sinceramente, comí más de la cuenta. Créanme cuando les digo que eso afectó mis avances. Esto me hace recordar un meme que vi hace poco que decía que el problema no era pasar dos horas en el gimnasio, sino controlar lo que comes el resto del día. ¡Qué gran verdad! Es algo que me pasa a menudo y con lo que lidio a diario.
Estos días ha estado lloviendo en mi ciudad de forma repentina, después de un sol resplandeciente. De hecho, hoy saqué los edredones para lavarlos, echarles suavizante y que se secaran al sol. Los metí a lavar y, de repente, el cielo cambió drásticamente y comenzó a llover a cántaros por casi una hora, con truenos y relámpagos que hasta la luz se fue. 😂
También he estado trabajando para solucionar algunas de las filtraciones que tengo en el apartamento. Esta vez, le di prioridad al lavaplatos. Compré una grifería que me gustó mucho, ya que la anterior estaba dañada y goteaba, algo que me molestaba bastante.
During those days, I couldn't go to the gym, and honestly, I ate more than I should have. Believe me when I say that it affected my progress. This reminds me of a meme I saw recently that said the problem wasn't spending two hours at the gym, but controlling what you eat the rest of the day. How true! It's something that happens to me often and that I deal with every day.
These days it's been raining suddenly in my city after bright sunshine. In fact, today I took out the comforters to wash them, put fabric softener on them, and let them dry in the sun. I put them in the wash, and suddenly the sky changed dramatically and it started pouring rain for almost an hour, with thunder and lightning that even knocked out the power. 😂
I've also been working on fixing some of the leaks in my apartment. This time, I prioritized the dishwasher. I bought a faucet that I really liked, since the old one was damaged and leaking, which bothered me quite a bit.
Al intentar cambiarla, nos dimos cuenta de que eran necesarios otros cambios y el trabajo quedó a medias, ya que me faltaban algunas piezas. Aunque mi esposo y mi hermano me ayudaron a reemplazar la grifería, no quedó muy bien que digamos, pues se ve torcida y me molesta. Pero ya compré lo que me faltaba y el verdadero albañil vendrá a arreglar todo lo necesario. 😂
A pesar de los inconvenientes, estoy muy contenta con el cambio. Son esos pequeños detalles los que marcan la diferencia. Esta grifería se ve mucho más fuerte y bonita. También tengo que hacer un gran trabajo en el baño, pero para eso tendré que esperar un poco, porque se requiere una pieza que aún no consigo. Así, poco a poco, iré resolviendo todos esos detalles que me generan angustia.
Con el tema de la gotera del techo, puse una planta debajo para que absorbiera el agua por ahora. Hay muchas cosas por hacer, pero en este punto disfruto de las vacaciones escolares y, aunque mis hijos siguen en sus actividades deportivas diarias, puedo dormir un poco más en las mañanas que cuando están en la escuela.
Espero el próximo lunes organizarme mejor con el entrenamiento y que no aparezca ningún malestar como los que ya tuve. Por lo pronto, estoy disfrutando de cada día a la vez.
When we tried to change it, we realized that other changes were necessary and the job was left half done, as I was missing some parts. Although my husband and brother helped me replace the faucet, it didn't turn out very well, as it looks crooked and bothers me. But I already bought what I was missing and the real builder will come to fix everything that needs to be fixed. 😂
Despite the inconveniences, I am very happy with the change. It's those little details that make all the difference. These faucets look much stronger and nicer. I also have a lot of work to do in the bathroom, but I'll have to wait a while for that because I need a part that I can't find yet. So, little by little, I will resolve all those details that cause me anxiety.
As for the leak in the ceiling, I put a plant underneath to absorb the water for now. There are many things to do, but at this point I am enjoying the school holidays and, although my children are still doing their daily sports activities, I can sleep a little longer in the mornings than when they are at school.
I hope to get better organized with my training next Monday and that I don't experience any discomfort like I did before. For now, I'm enjoying each day as it comes.
