Hola amigos, feliz inicio de semana, deseo que se encuentren muy bien. Hoy quiero contarles sobre mi experiencia en la entrega de chemises de promoción que se realizó en el liceo de mi hijo, una actividad que resultó muy emotiva y un día de alegría para los estudiantes del complejo en su último año.
La actividad se realizó en el colegio, un día sábado, para no interrumpir las actividades académicas. Los muchachos estaban muy emocionados, pues desde el 4.º año estaban planificando esta actividad, que contó con el apoyo de los representantes y del colegio, logrando un bonito resultado que se guardará para la posteridad.
Los muchachos escogieron el color de su chemis. En esta oportunidad, la combinación fue azul, marino, vino tinto y blanco y, aunque la mandaron a hacer con dos proveedores distintos, las chemises quedaron iguales y muy bonitas.

Today I want to tell you about my experience at the delivery of the graduation shirts (or 'promotion shirts') that took place at my son's high school (or 'liceo'). It was a very emotional activity and a day of joy for the students of the complex in their final year.
The event was held at the school on a Saturday so as not to interrupt academic activities. The kids were very excited, as they had been planning this activity since their 4th year, with the support of their parents and the school. This resulted in a beautiful outcome that they will cherish forever.
The students chose the color of their polo shirts (or 'chemises'). This time, the combination was blue, navy blue, burgundy, and white. Although they ordered them from two different suppliers, the shirts turned out uniform and very nice.
Para realizar esta actividad se crearon varias vocerías, conformadas por los representantes de cada sección y también por los estudiantes, de esta unión y trabajo en equipo. Se definieron los por menores que terminaron con el resultado esperado.
Lo acordado fue que cada sección del 5.º año mandara a hacer su chemis, costeada por su representante, la cual tuvo un costo de 15 $ pagadas en dos partes, esto se tramitó en el tiempo de vacaciones escolares y ya teniéndolas listas se compró una cajita muy bonitas en material de acetato que dejaba ver la chemis, porque estas tenían un detalle adicional en la espalda, donde salía el apellido de cada estudiante y así basado en su apellido se procedió a la entrega.
Luego, al tener ya las camisas listas, esta misma comisión mandó a elaborar el diseño de la promoción, el cual fue develado en la actividad y el que tendrán en sus actividades futuras, ya que esta solo fue el comienzo. Durante la actividad, los chicos realizaron varias demostraciones de su talento a través de bailes, canciones y duetos musicales, lo que hizo que la actividad fuese bastante entretenida.
To carry out this activity, several spokespersons were created, made up of the representatives of each section and also the students. From this unity and teamwork, the minor details were defined, which ended with the expected result.
What was agreed upon was that each 5th-year section would order its own polo shirt, funded by their respective parent/guardian, which had a cost of $15, paid in two installments. This was processed during the school vacation period. Once the shirts were ready, a very nice acetate box was purchased that allowed the polo shirt to be seen, as they had an additional detail on the back where each student's last name was displayed. Based on their last name, the delivery process began.
After the shirts were ready, this same committee arranged to create the graduation design, which was unveiled at the event and which they will use in their future activities, as this was only the beginning. During the event, the students showcased several demonstrations of their talent through dances, songs, and musical duets, which made the activity quite entertaining.
Y fue así cuando, después de cumplir con todo el protocolo, se procedió a la entrega de las chemises. Algunas secciones decidieron que la entrega las realizara un padrino de la promoción escogido por ellos, mientras que otras decidieron que fuese su representante quien hiciera la entrega.
En mi caso, yo le hice la entrega de su chemis a mi hijo, como parte del compromiso adquirido de su parte hacia mí en culminar con éxito todas sus materias y mantener su promedio como la ha venido haciendo hasta ahora. Pero además, ese mismo día uno de sus amiguitos del liceo, a quien le tengo mucho cariño, me pidió que le hiciera entrega de su chemis de promoción, algo que me dio mucha alegría también.
Cuando yo me gradué de bachiller, este tipo de actividades no se realizaba y la verdad es que formar parte de esto fue algo que me dio mucha alegría, el estar ahí con mi hijo, siempre atenta, dispuesta y brindándole todo el acompañamiento que este necesita en todas sus actividades.
And that's how, after fulfilling all the protocol, the shirts were delivered. Some sections decided to have the shirts delivered by a graduation sponsor chosen by them, while others decided to have their parent/guardian make the delivery.
In my case, I delivered the shirt to my son, as part of the commitment he made to me to successfully complete all his subjects and maintain his average, as he has been doing so far. Additionally, that same day, one of his high school friends, whom I am very fond of, asked me to present him with his graduation shirt, which also made me very happy.
When I graduated from high school, this type of activity was not done, and the truth is that being part of this was something that brought me a lot of joy: being there with my son, always attentive, willing, and providing all the support he needs in all his activities.
Pero además, luego de terminar la entrega de chemises de todas las secciones de 5.º año, uno de los proveedores les envío como regalo a "la parrandita" logrando así que los muchachos pasaran un rato alegre y divertido al son del steel band y finalmente, cada sección disfrutó en su salón de clases de un compartir donde tuvieron sus tortas y pasapalos que entre todos compramos para así completar el día y que esto sellara el inicio de su nuevo año escolar, encaminados ya como futuros bachilleres.
But then, after finishing the delivery of the shirts to all the 5th-year sections, one of the suppliers sent them a gift: "la parrandita," allowing the students to have a fun and joyful time to the sound of the steel band. Finally, each section enjoyed a gathering in their classroom where they had their cakes and snacks (or 'finger foods') that we all purchased together. This completed the day and officially sealed the start of their new school year, already on the path to becoming high school graduates.
