Earrings are an accessory that can completely change the vibe of an outfit, giving it the essence we desire, whether subtle, eye-catching, rocker, very discreet, elegant, disruptive, etc. Personally, it's an accessory I always wear. Today I had the challenge of creating an accessory inspired by [FLESH GOLEM](https://www.splintercards.com/beta_core_flesh-golem), a character from [Splinterlands](https://peakd.com/c/hive-13323/created), and this challenge was proposed to me by @holoz0r in a comment on my post [Thunderbird-inspired Earrings](https://peakd.com/hive-189641/@yennysferm71/creating-splinterlands-inspired-accessories-eng-esp). I confess that at first, I was somewhat intimidated by this character with such a powerful image; I didn't know where to start. However, once I started my creative process I couldn't stop thinking about beautiful designs and layouts with their color palette and features.

Los zarcillos son un accesorio que pueden cambiar por completo la vibra de un outfit, otorgándole esa esencia que deseamos, bien sea sutil, llamativo, rockera, muy discreta, elegante, disruptiva, etc. Personalmente, es un accesorio que si o si, siempre llevo. Hoy tenía el reto de crear un accesorio inspirado en [FLESH GOLEM](https://www.splintercards.com/beta_core_flesh-golem) un personaje de [Splinterlands](https://peakd.com/c/hive-13323/created), y este reto me lo propuso @holoz0r en un comentario de mi publicación [Zarcillos inspirados en Thunderbird](https://peakd.com/hive-189641/@yennysferm71/creating-splinterlands-inspired-accessories-eng-esp). Confieso que de primer momento me intimidó algo este personaje con una imagen tan poderosa, no sabía por donde empezar. Sin embargo, una vez que comencé mi proceso creativo no pude dejar de pensar en diseños y diseños hermosos con su paleta de colores y características.

As you can see in the image, Flesh Golem is quite intimidating with his body size and attitude. He looks like he could do a lot of damage. At first, it wasn't inspiring to create accessories for women. But then I noticed his beautiful color palette and the black stitching on his ripped clothing, so I took those elements and looked for the materials I had available to begin designing and creating, also considering that I wanted the earrings to have a lot of presence and character. In the process, I designed two earring models, with a GLAM-ROCKER and somewhat '80s style, but many more designs and possibilities remained in my mind, inspired by this big guy, which I now adore. I used the materials I had at my disposal, and I liked the end result so much that I really wanted to recreate them in other materials. But I loved these first designs, or prototypes, so to speak.

Como pudieron observar en la imagen, FLESH GOLEM es bastante intimidante con el tamaño de su cuerpo y actitud, parece que pudiera infringir mucho daño, así de primer momento no era algo inspirador para crear accesorios para mujeres. Pero luego me fijé en la hermosa paleta de colores que tiene y en esas puntadas negras que tiene su ropa rasgada, así que tomé esos elementos y busqué los materiales que dispongo para comenzar a diseñar y crear, considerando también que quería que los zarcillos tuviesen mucha presencia y carácter. En el proceso diseñé dos modelos de zarcillos, con estilo GLAM-ROCKERO y algo ochenteros, pero se quedaron en mi mente muchos diseños y posibilidades más, inspirados en este grandulón, que ahora adoro. Utilicé los materiales que tenía a mi disposición, y me gustó tanto el resultado final que de verdad quisiera recrearlos en otros materiales, pero estos primeros diseño o prototipos por llamarlos de alguna forma, me encantaron.

Inspired by the skin tone of Flesh Golem, I cut two 8cm triangles from the beige foam. These are for the base of some large earrings. As I mentioned earlier, they would have a glamorous, eighties-inspired style, and in that style, they definitely needed to be large. From the gold metallic cardstock, I cut a central section of the triangle and repeated it, making sure they were mirrored, meaning that the section rotated in its current position to give the design more movement and visual interest. One for the left side and one for the right.

En el foami beige e inspirada el color de la piel de FLESH GOLEM, corté dos triángulos cuya altura es de 8cms, esto es para la base de unos zarcillos grandes, como les dije anteriormente tendrían un estilo GLAM-ROCKERO y algo ochenteros, y en ese estilo definitivamente debían ser grandes. En la cartulina metalizada dorada, corté un tramo central del triángulo, y lo repetí teniendo el cuidado de que fuesen en espejo, es decir que ese tramo girara en su ubicación, esto para que visualmente tuviesen más movimiento e interés el diseño, uno para el lado izquierdo y otro al derecho.

I placed a small drop of liquid silicone on the shapes I made earlier to secure them and prevent them from moving in the next step. Using a needle and black thread, I stitched around the gold cardstock to secure it to the beige foam base. This stitching didn't have to be perfect, as it recreates the seams on Flesh Golem's ripped suit.

Coloqué una pequeña gota de silicón líquido en las formas que realicé anteriormente, para fijarlas y que no se movieran en el siguiente paso. Con aguja e hilo negro, realicé puntadas al rededor de la cartulina dorada para fijarla en la base de foami beige. Esta costura no debía ser perfecta ya que recrea las costuras del traje rasgado de FLESH GOLEM.

To continue representing the FLESH GOLEM color palette, I used purple foam and black cardstock. I cut shapes from both to give the triangles more interest and avoid leaving any empty spaces. I glued them together with liquid silicone.

Para continuar representando la paleta de colores de FLESH GOLEM, utilicé foami de color morado y cartulina negra, en ambas corté formas para dar más interés a los triángulos y no dejar espacios vacíos; los pegué con silicón líquido.

I used some earring bases I had stored away from practice sessions with the Wire Wrap Technique. I thought they were perfect for this design because they would add more shine and a glamorous touch. I punched a hole in the top center of each triangle, opened a ring in square one, and placed the earring base on it, then closed the rings.

Utilicé unas bases de zarcillos que tenía guardadas, que eran de prácticas de la Técnica de Alambrismo, me parecieron perfectas para este diseño ya que le aportarían más brillo y ese toque GLAM. Perforé con el punzón en el centro superior de cada triángulo, abrí una argolla en cala uno y coloqué la base del zarcillo, luego cerré las argollas.

The photos really don't do justice to how beautiful the earrings look with that range of strong colors on the neutral beige base. The black stitching integrates the elements very well and gives them a lot of personality. Thinking about the design of the earrings and playing with shapes and the elements themselves, another idea came to me, and I used earring hooks for these earrings, creating a different look.

Las fotos realmente no le hacen justicia a lo bello que lucen los zarcillos con esa gama de colores fuertes sobre la base neutra del beige. Las costuras en color negro integran muy bien los elementos y le dan mucha personalidad a los zarcillos. Pensando en el diseño de los zarcillos y jugando con las formas y los mismos elementos, me surgió otra idea y en estos zarcillos utilicé unos ganchos de zarcillos, logrando así un modelo diferente.

As you can see, these two pairs of earrings are beautiful. On the cover, I used a Canva Pro model to show them off, and I loved how they looked. I achieved exactly the GLAM-ROCKER-80S style, but with a modern personality. They look beautiful, and as you can see, they really have all the personality of our strongman FLESH GOLEM.

Como pueden ver estos dos pares de zarcillos son hermosos, en la portada utilicé una modelo de Canva Pro, para lucirlos y me amé como se veían, logré justamente el estilo GLAM-ROCKERO-OCHENTERO pero con una personalidad actual, se ven hermosos y como pueden ver realmente tienen toda la personalidad de nuestro fortachón FLESH GOLEM.

I want to take this opportunity to mention @mattclarke as requested by @holoz0r in the comment on my aforementioned post. I hope you liked these FLESH GOLEM-inspired earring models. For me, it was an opportunity to activate my creativity and pay more attention to detail. It's an enriching process that definitely helps me grow and advance as a Crafts and Jewelry Content Creator.
