Esta vez les comparto una crónica.

En estos últimos tres años, en la zona oriental cubana, han sido significativos los niveles de lluvia derivadas de las  condiciones de inestabilidad atmosférica imperante en el área del caribe, donde ha tenido una incidencia predominante la humedad del Sur.

Por ejemplo, en el carso de Baire (mi pueblo), las reiteradas precipitaciones de más de 50 milímetros medidos por especialistas adjuntos a la "Estación Municipal de Meteorológica" del municicio al cual pertenecemos, son prueba, no sólo convincentes del crecimiento del manto freático, sino develadoras de un manifiesto desamparo.

Aún así, rebosantes las fuentes, el ciclo de agua se extiende, en mucho lugares, a más de 30 días. Y esa situación se ha venido presentando desde hace unos tres años. Hoy, que contamos con un parque de paneles solares en el acueducto, persiste el problena.

En muchas casas la sed se ha vuelto paisaje cotidiano. Demostrado está que, no es sólo la sequía la que agrieta la tierra, sino la ausencia prolongada de voluntad para las soluciones reales. Las tuberías, sobre todo en "Centro Baire", han quedado mudas. Las pipas estatales nunca llegan y las promesas se evaporan más rápido que el agua en los tanques, a pleno sol.

Por temor a los grifos mudos, la gente ha comprendido que hay que empezar a cavar con precision geométrica, duro y profundo. Por esas cuestiones místicas, ha emergido de la sabiduría popular el ingenio nato. Eficaces marcadores de pozos se convierten en tesoros vivos.

Con medios improvisados e intuición empírica heredada, o no, la urgencia que no espera dictámenes técnicos ni decisiones oficiales, ha empezado a cavar y han comenzado a brotar el "Oro" como respuesta.

No serán obras de ingeniería certificadas técnicamente, pero sí actos de soberanía personal, resistencia, fe y dignidad.

Algunos pocos pozos alcanzan agua salobre, pero la mayoría devuelve, al sacrificio, la mejor calidad del preciado líquido. Testimonios, todos, de una comunidad ferviente en emprendimiento, que no se rinde. Que convierte la carencia en impulso y la tierra en servil provedora que dialoga desde las entrañas.

Mientras, la empresa responsable de esa misión se sumergen en sus devaneos y aportan, al asunto, sólo respuestas tardías o silencio.

De Baire no hay cifras públicas, pero sí sofocantes síntomas. En cambio, la respuesta comunitaria sigue siendo ética. La solidaridad se convierte en método y el pozo en símbolo. Por una expresión que no denota abandono, escasez, sino, temple, autonomía.

Cada pozo cavado aquí en mi terruño, es una fisura en el parnaso de las promesas. Una reafirmación del silencio que resiste. Por una elevada razón: "Cada hogar, es un templo sagrado que hay que defender, incluso, en la más adversa situación...!!

This time I share a chronicle with you.

Over the past three years, in eastern Cuba, there have been significant levels of rainfall due to the unstable atmospheric conditions prevailing in the Caribbean area, where the southern humidity has had a predominant impact.

For example, in the Baire karst (my town), the repeated rainfall of more than 50 millimeters measured by specialists attached to the "Municipal Meteorological Station" of the municipality to which we belong, They are not only convincing proof of the rising water table, but also reveal a manifest helplessness.

Even so, even with the fountains overflowing, the water cycle extends, in many places, to more than 30 days. And this situation has been present for about three years. Today, with a solar panel park on the aqueduct, the problem persists.

In many homes, thirst has become a daily occurrence. It has been proven that it is not only the drought that cracks the earth, but the prolonged lack of will for real solutions. The pipes, especially in "Cento Baire," have remained silent. The state pipes never arrive, and the promises evaporate faster than the water in the tanks in the full sun.

Fearing the silent taps, people have understood that they must begin digging with geometric precision, hard and deep. For these mystical reasons, natural ingenuity has emerged from popular wisdom. Effective well markers become living treasures.

With improvised means and inherited or not empirical intuition, the urgency that waits for no technical opinions or official decisions has begun to dig, and "Gold" has begun to sprout in response.

They won't be technically certified engineering works, but they will be acts of personal sovereignty, resistance, faith, and dignity.

A few wells reach brackish water, but the majority return, at the sacrifice of their own, the highest quality of the precious liquid. All of them are testimony to a community fervent in entrepreneurship, one that doesn't give up. One that turns lack into drive and the land into a subservient provider that speaks from within.

Meanwhile, the company responsible for this mission is immersed in its own intrigues and offers only belated responses or silence on the matter.

There are no public figures for Baire, but there are suffocating symptoms. In contrast, the community's response remains ethical. Solidarity becomes the method and the well the symbol. Through an expression that denotes not abandonment, scarcity, but rather mettle, autonomy.

Each well dug here in my homeland is a fissure in the Parnassus of promises. A reaffirmation of the silence that endures. For a lofty reason: "Every home is a sacred temple that must be defended, even in the most adverse situation...!!
