Hola estimados hivers de esta comunidad #dclub

Siendo las 7: 50 p.m., del sábado 9 de agosto, salí al balcón de mi casa y me topé con una luna diferente. Y decidí tomar esta instantánea.

Buscando información, supe que esta luna llena, de agosto, había alcanzado su máximo esplendor hoy por la madrugada, siendo su máxima iluminación a las 3:55 a. m., hora del este.

Este espectáculo, es cíclico desde hace siglos: el octavo plenilunio del año, conocido como “Luna de Esturión”.

También supe que este nombre es proveniente de antiguas tradiciones de pueblos nativos de Norteamérica. También se la conoce como Luna del Grano o Luna Roja, dependiendo de las cosechas y el clima del final del verano boreal. Lástima que la noche estuviera nublada

***At 7:50 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, I stepped out onto my balcony and stumbled upon a different moon. And I decided to take this snapshot. ***

Looking for information, I learned that this August full moon had reached its peak early this morning, reaching its peak illumination at 3:55 a.m. m., Eastern Time.

This spectacle has been cyclical for centuries: the eighth full moon of the year, known as the “Sturgeon Moon.”

I also learned that this name comes from ancient traditions of Native Americans. It's also known as the Grain Moon or the Red Moon, depending on the harvests and the weather at the end of the northern summer. Too bad the night was cloudy
