Diversity, beauty and fauna (Eng/Esp)

The natural or artificial landscapes have many variants ranging from buildings of all kinds through the natural ones that are of an unimaginable diversity. In this opportunity, I am going to comment on some birds that perch on the cables of the public lighting, as well as on the ground.  In the photograph you can see some varieties such as the vulture or the vulture that feeds on decomposing meat. It is rare to see them in the city, but according to some neighbors and other experiences these vultures have sighted a dead animal body or suspicion of it.  Another of the birds that we see is the turtledove, dove of Monte or as we say the caigüireños to these birds: the potoquitas, it has become customary to see these animals wander through the streets, houses and avenues of the city of Cumaná, I have noticed that their habitat (the Pan de Azúcar hill) has been invaded by houses and has depleted the trees and their natural environment.  Also visible in the photograph are the Bravia pigeons that embellish the places where they perch, and that are generally looking for food. Many people give them raw rice and some leftover food. You can also see the Cristofue, which many people call cucarachero (cockroach). All these birds give beauty to our landscapes and their melodies are a spectacle for our ears.

Los paisajes naturales o artificiales tienen muchas variantes que van desde edificaciones de toda índole pasando por los naturales que son de una diversidad inimaginable. En esta oportunidad, les voy a comentar sobre algunos pájaros que se posan en los cables del alumbrado público, así como en el suelo.  En la fotografía se aprecian algunas variedades como el zamuro o el buitre que se alimenta de carne en descomposición. Es raro verlos por la ciudad, pero según algunos vecinos y otras experiencias dichos buitres han avistado algún cuerpo de un animal muerto o sospecha de ello.  Otro de los pájaros que vemos es la tórtola, paloma de Monte o como lo decimos los caigüireños a estas aves: las potoquitas, se ha hecho costumbre ver a estos animalitos deambular por las calles, casas y avenidas de la ciudad de Cumaná, he notado que su hábitat (el cerro Pan de Azúcar) ha sido invadido por casas y ha mermado los árboles y su ambiente natural.  Igualmente se aprecia en la fotografía las palomas Bravia que embellecen los lugares donde se posan, y que generalmente están buscando alimentos. Mucha gente les da arroz crudo y uno que otro alimento que sobró. Al igual se observa el llamado Cristofue, que muchos lo llaman cucarachero. Todos estos pájaros le dan hermosura a nuestros paisajes y sus melodías son todo un espectáculo para nuestros oídos.
