Mi sueño de niña siempre fue ser maestra, es una profesión que literalmente me apasiona; nosotros somos cinco hermanas y siempre jugábamos a la escuelita y yo siempre era la maestra, jajajaja; una vez que crecí mi sueño siguió intacto; logré hacerlo realidad 😊 hoy en día tengo 18 años de servicio pero a nivel del Liceo o a lo que llamamos es la segunda etapa de la educación básica .
Me especializo en el área de matemáticas, ahí tengo ya en el grado de tercer año aproximadamente 5 años, he rotado todos los años, de 1ro a 5to año, pero ya me han establecido fijo en tercer año.
Como todos saben matemáticas no es una asignatura muy fácil por lo general los alumnos ya entran a clases con una adversión hacia la materia y por supuesto hacia el profesor Jajaja ; así que, a pesar de lo bonita que es mi profesión y de cuánto la amo, me ha tocado lidiar con situaciones difíciles escuchando comentarios negativos hacia mi persona por la materia que imparto, pero, bueno, son gajes del oficio.

As you all know mathematics is not a very easy subject, usually the students already enter classes with an adversity towards the subject and of course towards the teacher hahaha; so, despite how beautiful my profession is and how much I love it, I have had to deal with difficult situations listening to negative comments towards me because of the subject I teach, but, well, they are the perks of the job.

Pero por supuesto no todo es malo, siempre de algunos alumnos uno recibe el afecto, el cariño ; muchas veces voy por la calle y recibo el saludo afectuoso de quiénes años atrás fueron mis alumnos.
Quiero contarles que este año fue realmente muy gratificante y muy satisfactorio para mí, porque recibí de partes de alumnos pequeños detalles que ,quizás no tengan un gran valor económico pero para mí tienen un gran significado y son cosas que me motivan, me animan a seguir y que de una u otra forma me dicen que a pesar de todo lo estoy haciendo bien, porque por lo menos el mensaje está siendo bien recibido por parte de mis estudiantes.
Uno de los primeros detalles que recibí fue una pequeña carta hecha de cartulina con un lapicero ✏️ que por cierto en ese momento me llegó como anillo al dedo porque no tenía ,Jajaja con un hermoso mensaje que decía que era muy querida y apreciada por mis alumnas quienes nunca pensaron quererme tanto en el momento que me conocieron; realmente esto me llenó de mucha satisfacción.
Otro de los detalles que recibí fue una especie de diploma por parte de dos estudiantes, dos hermanos de padre y madre donde también manifestaban el valor que le daban al trabajo que yo desempeñaba como docente; y el último lo recibí ya para finales de año escolar, una cartuchera personalizada que decía :gracias por enseñar con amor y decía mi nombre profesora Yesenia Cabrera, realmente fueron pequeños detalles que me llenaron de mucha satisfacción ,cosas que me motivan, me animan a seguir dando cada día lo mejor de mí a mis estudiantes; yo bromeaba con mis colegas y cuando recibí los detalles los colocaba en el estado de mi teléfono en mi WhatsApp y escribía :parece que después de todo no soy tan mala, jajajaja ,siempre lo tomaba pues de manera jocosa, pero realmente son pequeños detalles con un gran valor para mí.

One of the first gifts I received was a small cardstock letter with a pen ✏️ which, by the way, was a godsend at the time because I didn't have one, hahaha. It had a beautiful message saying that I was very loved and appreciated by my students, who never thought they would love me so much the moment they met me. This truly filled me with great satisfaction.
Another gift I received was a kind of diploma from two students, two brothers from my father and mother, who also expressed the value they placed on the work I did as a teacher. The last one I received at the end of the school year was a personalized pencil case that said, "Thank you for teaching with love," and that included my name, Professor Yesenia Cabrera. These were truly small gifts that filled me with great satisfaction. They motivate me and encourage me to continue giving my best to my students every day. I joked with my colleagues, and when I received the gifts, I posted them on my WhatsApp status and wrote, "Looks like I'm not so bad after all," hahaha. I always took it as a joke, but they really are small gifts that have great value to me.
