A warm greeting to this beautiful #Music community. I am pleased to share my trumpet performance of "Almost Like Being in Love", a song that blends vocal jazz and swing, composed by Frederick Loewe and Alan Jay Lerner for the 1947 Broadway musical Brigadoon. The lyrics speak of the feeling of being in love, even when you are not sure you are. My favorite version is by Nat King Cole, for its elegance, sophistication, and the warmth of his voice. The key is G major, with a harmony rich in seventh and ninth chords, and it also has subtle modulations. The melody is lyrical and ascending intervallic with repetitive phrases. The tempo is fast and is in ¾ time; in my case, I found a score in 4/4 that is more rhythmic and modern. The dynamics are moderate, with soft and warm nuances.

Un cálido saludo para esta bella comunidad de #Music. Tengo el agrado de compartir mi interpretación con la trompeta de «Almost Like Being In Love», una canción que mezcla el jazz vocal y el swing compuesta por Frederick Loewe y Alan Jay Lerner para el musical de Broadway Brigadoon, en 1947. La letra habla de la sensación de estar enamorado, incluso cuando no se está seguro de estarlo. Mi versión favorita es la de Nat King Cole, por su elegancia, la sofisticación y la calidez de su voz. La tonalidad se encuentra en G mayor, con una armonía rica en acordes de séptimas y novenas, además tiene modulaciones sutiles. La melodía es lirica, e interválica ascendente con frases repetitivas. El tempo es rápido, y está en compás de ¾, en mi caso encontré una partitura en 4/4 que es más rítmica y moderna. La dinámica es moderada, con matices suaves y cálidos.

I was born in the mid-1980s and grew up alongside the evolution of the internet with the use of social media, streaming, e-commerce, and digital communication. The learning process has been natural, and I consider myself a digital native. For my parents and grandparents, the process has been slower and more limited. I feel like a superhero helping them with banking transactions, digital records, and other procedures. I have a nephew who was born in 2017 and he's part of Generation Alpha. Using touchscreens, virtual assistants, and networks is so natural for him. Soon, he'll be moving easily in Web 3.0, with artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and decentralization. Some things we saw as children in science fiction movies have become reality. Others are still light years away from our evolution. We've learned to fly and connect at speeds never seen before. But we still haven't learned to live in peace. I hope you enjoy my performance. Best vibes to everyone.

Nací a mediados de los años 80 y crecí junto con la evolución del Internet con el uso de las redes sociales, el streaming, el e-commerce y la comunicación digital. El proceso de aprendizaje ha sido natural y me considero un nativo digital. Para mis padres y mis abuelos el proceso ha sido mas lento y limitado. Me siento como un super héroe al ayudarlos con transacciones bancarias, registros digitales y otros trámites. Tengo un sobrino que nació en 2017 y el es de la generación Alpha. Para él es tan natural usar pantallas táctiles, asistentes virtuales y redes. Dentro de poco se moverá con facilidad en la Web 3.0, con inteligencia artificial, realidad aumentada y descentralización. Algunas cosas que veíamos de niños en películas de ciencia ficción se han hecho realidad. Otras aun estamos a años luz de evolución. Hemos aprendido a volar y a conectarnos a velocidades nunca vistas. Pero aun no hemos aprendido a vivir en paz. Espero que disfruten de mi interpretación. Las mejores vibras para todos.
