Hive Open Mic Week #283 | Inseparable - Natalie Cole (Cover) by @yisusth

A warm greeting to everyone in this beautiful Open Mic community. In this week #283, we explore the theme: “The Darkness”. I am pleased to share my trumpet performance of “Inseparable”, a Soul song composed by Chuck Jackson and Marvin Yancy while driving to Chicago in 1975. Yancy married Natalie Cole and influenced the story of this beautiful song. The lyrics talk about the powerful connection between her and her partner, true love as destiny, and how significant it has been in her life. The song is in the key of A flat major, however, I found an A major version for the trumpet. The melody is beautiful, warm, expressive and memorable. The rhythm is mid-tempo with an R&B groove and a 4/4 time signature. I love how the trumpet sounds with a lower register at the beginning and then a higher and brighter register.

Un cordial saludo para todos en esta bella comunidad del Open Mic. En esta semana #283, exploramos la temática: “The Darkness". Tengo el agrado de compartir mi interpretación con mi trompeta de «Inseparable», una canción de genero Soul compuesta por Chuck Jackson y Marvin Yancy mientras conducían a Chicago en 1975. Yancy se caso con Natalie Cole e influyo en la historia de este hermoso tema. La letra habla de la poderosa conexión entre ella y su pareja, el amor verdadero como destino, y lo significativo que ha sido en su vida. La canción está en la tonalidad de A bemol mayor, sin embargo, encontré una versión en A Mayor para la trompeta. La melodía es hermosa, cálida, expresiva y memorable. El Ritmo es de tiempo medio con un Groove de R&B y una cifra indicadora de compas de 4/4. Me encanta como suena la trompeta con un registro grave al principio y luego a un registro más agudo y brillante.

In Chinese Taoism, Yin represents darkness, and Yang is its opposite, light. It's an interesting concept: it flows, transforms, and is constant. Humans have their shadows, darkness, and depths. We are beings of light, but we are also beings of shadows and darkness. Most bad things happen at night, but some also contrast in broad daylight. Darkness represents evil, ignorance, deception, and falsehood. In a musical context, it can be a style, an atmosphere, or a feeling. There are several genres I've loved since I was a child, such as metal, electronic music, gothic rock, and hip hop. There is beauty in darkness, and not everything is always bad. I love sleeping in a room with no windows and no lights to disturb my sleep. I hope you enjoy my performance this week.

En el taoísmo chino, el Yin representa la oscuridad y el Yang es lo contrario, la luz. Es un concepto interesante que fluye, se transforma y es constante. Los seres humanos tenemos nuestras sombras, oscuridades y profundidades. Somos seres de luz, pero también somos seres con penumbras y tinieblas. La mayoría de las cosas malas suceden mientras es de noche, pero también contrastan algunas en plena luz del día. La oscuridad representa el mal, la ignorancia, el engaño y la falsedad. En el contexto musical puede ser un estilo, una atmosfera o una sensación. Hay varios géneros que me gustan mucho desde que era niño como el metal, la música electrónica, el rock gótico o el hip hop. Existe una belleza en la oscuridad y no siempre todo es malo. Me encanta dormir en cuarto sin ventanas, y sin luces que perturben el sueño. Espero que disfruten de mi interpretación esta semana.
