This new **Hive Power Up Day** or #HPUD comes in a month that has special significance for me. October is beginning, and there are two important events related to me and salsa.
The first is that October 5 is **National Salsa Day** in Venezuela. This day was chosen because it coincides with the birthday of the iconic Venezuelan radio host **Phidias Danilo Escalona**, a man who has the closest connection to the word “salsa” and about whom you can read an interesting interview in [this publication](https://gladyspalmera.com/coleccion/el-diario-de-gladys/phidias-contado-por-el-mismo/).
For all salsa lovers, that name means a lot, as does the date of October 5, which also coincides with the birth date of another salsa great, **Ismael Rivera**.
The other salsa milestone for me is that I hope to have my next salsa track ready this month. We started recording this song at the beginning of the year, but it was delayed due to factors beyond our control. Although it is significant to me, I am not going to reveal any more information about it and I hope to surprise you with this song before the end of the month.
Returning to the main topic of this post, I will now show you my Power Ups from last month and invite everyone to join in this activity on the first day of each month, which is a tool for our growth and for strengthening **Hive**.

Este nuevo día del **Hive Power Up Day** o #HPUD llega en un mes que tiene especial significación para mí. Está empezando el mes de octubre y en él hay dos eventos importantes que tienen que ver conmigo y con la salsa.
El primero de ellos es que el día 5 de octubre se celebra en Venezuela el **Día Nacional de la Salsa**. Se escogió ese día porque coincide con el nacimiento del emblemático locutor venezolano **Phidias Danilo Escalona**, hombre que tiene el más estrecho vínculo con la palabra "Salsa" y de quien pueden leer una interesante entrevista en [esta publicación](https://gladyspalmera.com/coleccion/el-diario-de-gladys/phidias-contado-por-el-mismo/).
Para todos los amantes de la salsa, ese nombre significa mucho, así como la fecha del 5 de octubre, que además coincide con la fecha de nacimiento de otro grande de la salsa como lo es **Ismael Rivera**.
El otro hito salsero para mí es que para este mes espero tener listo mi próximo *track* salsero. Una canción que empezamos a grabar a comienzos de año, pero se retrasó por factores ajenos a nuestra voluntad. Aunque es significativo para mí, no voy a adelantar más información al respecto y espero sorprenderlos con esta canción antes de que finalice el mes.
De vuelta al asunto principal de este post, paso ahora a mostrar mis *Power Ups* del mes pasado y a invitar a todos a sumarse a esta actividad de los días primero de cada mes y que son una herramienta para nuestro crecimiento y para el fortalecimiento de **Hive**.
