In 1977, the group **Un Solo Pueblo** released the album **La Música de Un Solo Pueblo**, which included music from different regions of the country, collected from oral tradition. Among the songs was **Cumaná, Tierra Fecunda**. I listened to that album regularly and liked the entire repertoire.
In 1979 or 1980, I don't remember exactly, my sister and I received an invitation from the **Diario Provincia** newspaper in Cumaná to go and sing at a peace event there. We accepted the invitation, which was extensive, as it lasted several days, during which we gave interviews, sang, and shared with local personalities and musicians, as well as enjoying tours of the area, beaches, and parties.
It was a wonderful experience that left a deep impression on me. During those days, the song by **Un Solo Pueblo** came to mind, and I repeated it incessantly. So much so that I even ended up mentioning it in a poem I wrote at the time, which I had already published on this platform, but which I think is only fair to share with you again.
Now that I have had the opportunity to revisit this beautiful city, all those memories have come flooding back, and for that reason, I have decided to close this series of posts dedicated to Cumaná with my interpretation of the song.

En el año 1977, el grupo **Un Solo Pueblo** publicó el disco **La Música de Un Solo Pueblo**, el cual incluía canciones de distintas regiones del país, que habían ido recolectando de la tradición oral. Entre las canciones estaba **Cumaná, Tierra Fecunda**. Yo escuchaba ese disco con regularidad y me gustaba todo el repertorio.
En el año 79 u 80, no recuerdo bien, mi hermana y yo recibimos la invitación del **Diario Provincia**, de Cumaná, para ir a cantar allá en un evento por la paz. Aceptamos la invitación, la cual fue extensa, pues tuvo una duración de varios días, en los que dimos entrevistas, cantamos y compartimos con personalidades y músicos de la zona, además de disfrutar de recorridos por la zona, playas y fiestas.
Fue toda una experiencia maravillosa que dejó en mí una profunda huella. En esos días me vino a la memoria la canción de **Un Solo Pueblo** y la repetía de manera incesante. Tanto así, que hasta terminé mencionándola en un poema que escribí en esa oportunidad, el cual ya lo había publicado en esta plataforma, pero que me parece justo volver a compartir con ustedes.
Ahora, que he tenido la oportunidad de volver a encontrarme con esta bella ciudad, han aflorado todos esos recuerdos y por esa razón decidí cerrar esta serie de publicaciones dedicadas a Cumaná, con mi interpretación de la canción.
